About This File

So what started as a joke for SSRS turned into a pretty extensive update that I keep getting pestered to put up for download. I wanted to do more detail wise but bleh, so here it is with all new shiny parts

Chassis, Shock bodies, Shock shafts, Headers, Engine Mount made by Me

Body, Tires, Wheels by Klayton

Engine by Matt

Transmission, Transfercase, Transmission Coolers, Radiator, Radiator Fan, ISP seat and Axles by Crazy

Transferring of skin to new body by Coconutman

Other parts are V4 related

WARNING! THIS TRUCK USES A MODIFIED NODE/BEAM STRUCTURE (roughly to scale suspension travel and swaybars) THAT WAS INTENDED FOR SSRS'S REPLICA SERIES AND ADHERES TO THEIR RULES. THIS TRUCK MAY NOT BE LEGAL FOR USE IN OTHER LEAGUES! PLEASE CHECK WITH LEAGUE OWNERS BEFORE RUNNING THIS TRUCK!

Love it! Btw, where's my credit by helping to fit that skin in to Klaytons body?  :o  :P

nope this is just box5's heavily edited. The node/beam I was working on with another member of the site is still being worked on.

This truck handles so much more realistic than any other truck. Please make some more trucks like this (Grave Digger, Northern Nightmare). Amazing job! 10/10

Will drive again.

The issue stems from ROR's ability to read multiple sound scripts, it sucks and generally leaves trucks with no sound

This is a very nice looking truck, but I think the handling is unrealistic. The acceleration, speed, and being nearly impossible to roll make it too perfect, giving it a very arcade-like feel.

Two things, I will agree the acceleration and speed are unrealistic, but SSRS did not allow modifying the power, gearing or eng options. hence why I have been trying to rectify this:
http://sim-monsters.com/index.php?/topic/7161-v4-truckfile-tweakingupdate/.

Second part is none of the things you listed actually effect the "unrealistic handling" as you call it. If you think this truck is more arcade like then base V4 trucks you might want to recheck somethings on your end.

Not trying to puff my chest and discredit you but I do not see how modifying the trucks node/beam (basically the skeleton structure of the truck, you can see it by hitting K ingame while in a truck) V4 trucks have suspension length that was less then half of a realistic suspension travel, I gave it roughly accurate suspension travel and added some stiffer beams to act like a swaybar since adding a bunch travel gave the truck a bunch of body roll and traction rolled alot. If you drive the truck in a realistic fashion in first gear, it (in my humble opinion) is far more realistic then V4.
