  1. Just wanted to pay my respects to Mike Hogewood. Favorite play by play guy for monsters. I think I've memorized many of his WF2/3 calls
  2. I understand why they did it, but it feels wrong to switch. Every other WF in history had that signature racing track, starting outside then coming through the tunnel and finishing over the cars
  3. Whenever I skid in the snow, I just feel like a badass; like I'm Tom Meents. Whenever I get a flat tire, I feel like I should keep going otherwise I'll get a low score
  4. WF2: Blacksmith flip in racing, track flooding drama. Killer freestyles, Pablo driving over Sting, Koehler driving through the RV, all the encores. I remember really liking 7 as well, though I haven't seen it in ages. Cool chrome Avenger body, huge fountain jumps.
  5. I mean, how something looks is part of the design and is a perfectly valid reason to say something is bad. People complain about trucks based on the color of the fiberglass
  6. No point in having forums if everyone's just going to agree on everything. Also what I think is pretty egregious about the new tracks that I don't see anyone mentioning is that it looks fücking ugly to just have random mounds of purple and orange dirt with ramps in the sides. Green ramps and white and red and blue cars looked so nice.
  7. I was flipping through channels and saw monster jam on FS2. Watched 30 seconds then changed to football. It's just not fun to watch anymore, and so much of that is because of the track. Gone are the days of a gorgeous junkyard that breaks down over the show, gone is the visceral crushing of cars and busses, gone is cool stuff like fountains. It's all just dirt ramps. It looks awful. It's awful to watch. There's no space anymore, as well. You can't work up momentum and make a huge leap without crashing into another mound of dirt. Look at this: KO9wSGn.jpg look at this: YAjGlf5.jpg Why does Feld think this is better? Don't say competitve advantage. a] MJ is a glorified circus now b] in the old days, better drivers would go last; it actually leveled the playing field if they had less obstacles
  8. I WASN'T GONNA LEAVE IT FOR TOM I WASN'T GONNA LEAVE IT FOR DENNIS IT IS GONE GOOOONE
  9. I hope it's going to be broadcast on FS1 at a vaguely reasonable time this year as foreshadowed by all the stadium shows being shown a week later
  10. Hell of a wheelie too I get what they're doing with the championship thing, but having the winning run come third in the show out of 16 is kinda disappointing and anticlimactic to watch, both live and on TV. The judges put up 6 10's before he even stopped. It felt like the early 2000s when they always gave Tom and Dennis perfect 30s no matter what. I mean it certainly was the best run of the night but aren't you supposed to leave it open for other trucks to do better?
  11. Or a motorhome! That jump seriously looks weird without something in the middle though....fountains are awesome I've always sat really close, which is sort of annoying because the ramps block your view on the other side of the track. It must be kinda fun way up high Looks like there's gonna be a backflip ramp on the opposite side of the leftmost jump
  12. I've never heard MJ branded as 'america's biggest family entertainment spectacular' before I don't think that's even true
  13. I miss when stuff was actually crushed over the course of an event.
  14. Damn, Anaheim is muddy Adam's backflip: http://iconosquare.com/p/895353729585062711_48523911
