  1. Ah, I didn't catch the part about Mattel reporting the false statistics. I just still see it sort of weird for Feld to come out and end the relationship and still expect Mattel's full loyalty back. Feld had obviously decided to go with Spinmasters well before 2019 started and while Mattel was still expected to produce toys for them. I guess that with how contracts are set up (and how this probably had to be decided months before 2019 anyways) it was going to end up being ugly or awkward for one of the parties. I do agree that the trucks being looked at for trademark violation do look similar to trucks sold under the MJ name, but I just have a hard time really faulting Mattel over it. I honestly thought it was great for Mattel to do their own line of real trucks because again, the toys have a fanbase and this helps keep that fanbase. If anything comes out of this, I think it should really just be false figures and contract violations. I just have a harder time faulting Mattel when Feld expected loyalty back over those last few quarters when Feld was not really showing it back. I understand that business is business, and Spinmasters may have been more lenient with a friendlier contract. I just think Feld's timing/exit strategy was not really thought out. Also pretty safe to say that we will probably never see Hot Wheels and Monster Jam together again.
  2. I'm gonna give the unpopular opinion here. I think Feld is in the wrong for doing this. First of all, if I understood the article correctly, Feld ended the relationship with Mattel? When Mattel has been there for 20 years producing solid (at worst) products? The only year where Mattel's products were bad was 2015, when all of the trucks just looked lazy but 2016-2018 was some of the best years for MJ toys. Also, the Hot Wheels tour is significantly less than MJ. It's not like Bigfoot and Hollman and whoever else runs those bodies is going to be backflipping, I mean, it's a concrete floor show and the tickets are about $30? It's not a shot at any of those teams, I'm glad to see them competing and whatnot, it's just obviously more of a Thunder-Nationals-esque kind of thing when Feld has pretty much abandoned that type of competition. The only truck that the HW tour runs/sells toys of that I think resembles anything close to a Feld truck is the tiger shark truck. I believe the toy version uses the shark body that Mattel has owned since it produced the Great Bite truck in 2002, not the Megaladon body that HW used in 2018. But I can see where Feld is coming from with this part. Boneshaker has been a Mattel entity since about 2010, and that's just the monster truck. I'm pretty sure the Boneshaker concept has been with HW for far longer than that, and Boneshaker is definitely not a rip on Grave Digger. I think Feld shouldn't rip on Boneshaker because they've never had that actual truck. I've always associated Boneshaker as a HW thing. Again, I can see why Feld is upset over this but it's not like they copied an actual truck Feld runs. Not really trying to start a war or anything, but Feld dropped a loyal partner after 20 years and now they're trying to take them out? If I was Mattel I'd be equally upset and wouldn't sell a product for a company that just dropped me. And I know Feld wasn't entitled to stay with Mattel, its just that after so much success where the toys have literally formed their own fanbase, I thought Feld would stick with them. In all honesty it all just looks a little childish. Feld drops Mattel, Mattel stops production of MJ trucks, this pisses off Feld who just dropped them, Mattel starts up production of their own line of trucks, keeps the trucks that they created, hires former Feld employees, and then gets Bigfoot. And this all started because Feld got upset over a mold made for trucks you can hold in your hand.
  3. Thanks for the response! I was kind kind of thinking the same thing, and the NRA also tweeted out an article that pretty much summed up Mulisha, Gunslinger, and Soldier Fortune.
  4. And the NRA has publically called out Feld: I haven’t really been into MJ as much as I used to and the only thing I really know about is the gun coming off of Soldier Fortune trucks, Hartsock having to change his trucks name to Slinger, and Metal Mulisha getting it’s guns removed. Is there something else that Feld recently did to set the NRA off?
  5. This story is also on Bigfoot’s website and their Twitter, which makes me think that Bigfoot may be putting a few of their trucks and drivers with the hot wheels bodies, like the wrestling trucks in the 90s.
  6. Yeah that wiki is not very reliable, a couple years ago I tried with some other people to get everything kind of uniform and up to date but because anyone can edit anything it became a mess to clean up so I quit doing it
  7. Haven’t posted here in a while, but I recently went to Wal-Mart and found the new unbranded Hot Wheels monster trucks. They are basically the same as the Monster Jam ones besides the tires and rims, which are both bigger. Hot Wheels is carrying over the bodies and the chassis as well. They are also selling new variants of Mega-Wrex and they are also producing trucks with the Shark-Wreak body. 2018 ones come with a “collectible” wheel. The trucks all have cheesy names (no MJ licensing of course). For example, Case A includes Stars and Stripes, Boneshaker, Dairy Delivery, Test Subject, V8 Bomber, Hot Wheels Racing, Skeleton Crew, and Tiger Shark. Each truck also has a personalized case with a little information about the truck on the back of the case. Once I get home I’ll add some pictures. There’s also a few trucks not part of Case A that are being sold in double packs. 1:64, 1:43, and 1:24 scale trucks are all being sold with the new decals and branding. Im pretty glad Hot Wheels is still producing these, even though they’re a little different. It’s cool how they’re kind of experimenting without MJ breathing down their necks. The only negative I have is that these new trucks are being marketed more towards play and crashing then; but I can’t really complain about that, they are meant for kids.
  8. I just got a survey from MJ’s YouTube asking which truck I’d want to see compete again: Spider-Man, Ironman, Afterburner, Captain’s Curse, or Bulldozer
  9. You’d think if it was going off of popular bodies they’d put Megaladons and regular monster mutts on the indy trucks instead of the third Mutt body I remember Radoni always getting an El toro body because wanted to sell more merchandise. Do indies also have to pay for damages to these bodies or does Feld take care of that?
  10. What's with Monster Mutt Rotty always getting the indie drivers or the lower FELD drivers? I've noticed that they've put guys like JR Seasock, Basl, Cory Snyder, Jack Brown, and Brad Allen into this truck for like 3 years now. Not that they are bad drivers (especially Allen - he's probably the best Rotty driver right now), but it seems like they give this truck to whoever will finish near the bottom in Triple Threat tours. This is just a guess but I think it's because these guys won't roll the truck as often as guys like Sipes or Eichelberger. Or is it something to do with the Rotty body fitting on every chassis?
  11. Highlights from Cleveland. Hope you all enjoy the video!
  12. Sam Boyd if becoming pretty obsolete. MJ probably figures they can profit off of larger stadiums So are they gonna be cramming 32 trucks into the parking lot outside of MetLife?
  13. Sam Boyd's already obsolete, only thing held there to my knowledge is UNLV football games (these will be moved to the new Raider's stadium as well) along with Monster Jam and Supercross. I think that there might be some other rally stuff or truck racing and maybe high school football. Sam Boyd might get a little upgrade though, since the XFL (Vince McMahon's football league) is coming back and will need stadiums that don't already have contracts with NFL teams. The XFL had a team play in Sam Boyd back in 2000 so they might try and put a football team there and Sam Boyd is an ideal stadium for it (the seating is minimal so it won't be hard to sell it out). The XFL season should get near ending right around March 20th every year, so that might affect some things. Feld can also keep their massive pit party at Sam Boyd and they have the advantage of being able to keep dirt and junk cars close to the stadium (I read that somewhere on here). I think Feld also does the same thing for Anaheim with dirt, I'm pretty sure the dirt they bring in for the first Monster Jam is just reused all first quarter for the other Monster Jams and Supercross stuff there. Sam Boyd also offers really good stadium length so officials can be more lenient with trucks flying really far. I doubt trucks could reach the same speeds they reach at Sam Boyd in a stadium like Raymond James.
  14. I wont, you guys on here are pretty good at this stuff.
  15. What I meant was that in 2010 seeing Randy or Jim win was a bit more common. I'm not saying Randy and Jim are bad drivers, it's just that the competition has grown. I think it's cool to see guys who have been at it for a long time win big stadium events, it makes it feel like 2010. Especially seeing Randy win, I feel like it's been forever since he's actually had a schedule that included bigger stadium events.
  16. Thanks Jon for all the help! Okay, so I've swapped the Barracuda out with the WD one, replaced the video card with the GTX 1050, changed the power supply, and removed the cooler: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gDHZ4C Through Amazon this is a total of $434.22 (includes $25 gift card).
  17. Jim Koehler and Randy Brown win freestyle No offense to these guys but it almost feels like that sentence should've been typed in 2010
  18. Thanks Jon for the help and the list, it really helped me gather some parts. So I think I'll build one, because it will save me a little more money compared to a pre-built one. Here's the parts (I looked primarily at Amazon): Case: ROSEWILL ATX Case , Mid Tower Case with Blue LED Fan / Gaming Case for PC with Side Window Panel & 3 Fans Pre-Installed , Computer Case 2 x USB3.0 Port - NAUTILUS (May downgrade) - $45.08 Cooler Fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan - $30.99 Processor: Intel BX80662G4400 Pentium Processor G4400 3.3 GHz FCLGA1151 (I wanted to go the i5 route but this is a budget build and I think Pentium will have to do) - $63.69 Power: EVGA 430 W1, 80+ WHITE 430W, 3 Year Warranty, Power Supply 100-W1-0430-KR, Black - $42.73 Ram: Crucial 8GB Single DDR4 2133 MT/s (PC4-17000) SR x8 Unbuffered DIMM 288-Pin Memory - CT8G4DFS8213 - $85.49 GPU: EVGA GeForce GT 730 2GB GDDR5 64bit DVI/HDMI/VGA Low Profile Graphics Card 02G-P3-3733-KR - $76.99 Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200 500 GB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s 16MB Cache 3.5 Inch Internal Hard Drive ST3500418AS-Bare Drive - $39.99 Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-H110M-A LGA1151 Intel H110 Micro ATX DDR4 Motherboard - $39.99 Optical Drive: Asus - DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD WriterAsus - DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer - $19.99 So right now I'm at a total of $444.94, with some of these pieces being on sale (plus a $25 Amazon gift card would put this around $420). Let me know if I should add anything necessary or take anything away or look for a cheaper option. I didn't want to go over $500 so this is pretty good for me. Going through pcpartspicker has me at $409.19 (without the cooler). Here's that list, practically the same: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/
  19. So I’m currently using a pc that is great but isn’t really meant for games like Beam and such. I’m looking for a solid PC that can run stuff like Beam without much lag and other stuff such as Steam/RoR. I’m not really sure about computers and don’t want to jump in and waste hundreds of dollars on something that won’t work. So, in short: Can run a heavy game like Beam and other smaller games Lower in price ($150-$250; maybe a little higher). I understand this price range may be a little too small, but keep in mind I’m not really wanting to buy a heavy-end gaming pc. Beam is the heaviest program I think I’ll be running Im ok with playing games on lower graphics settings, so it doesn’t have to be the best computer, just something reliable that won’t cost me $1000. Good amount of ram Storage space isn’t a huge concern as I have an external hard drive Id prefer not to build one but my options are open Thanks in advance
  20. Bounty Hunter looks...odd. Not saying bad. I wonder how dominant Jim's gonna be with it.
  21. I know that Hagan Moskau had to change every Monster Jam vid to avoid his stuff being removed and the guy who posts World Finals videos got almost every video on his channel taken down. FELD went through one of these 'cleanings' if you will back around May or June
  22. I have Box5's green sled pull and was wondering if it was alright to release it, as I can't find a download link for it anywhere else and I know a bunch of people don't have it. I know some of the people at Rigs of Rods are a little more stingy on their stuff being reuploaded than we are.
  23. Newest vid. Tried a progress bar to show regulation time and a new intro. Enjoy amigos Also can anyone give me some advice on how to lighten up the screen? It seems really dark at points and hard to watch (I record with OBS if that's any help)
  24. Haven't done a video in a while and wanted to do something, so here's a mod preview. Enjoy amigos
  25. Monster Truck Destruction got updated again, at least for iOS. There's 4 new winter tracks and Craniac, Skully, and X-Maxx have been added. I think there was an update that included Reckless Drivin but I'm not sure what platform that's on.
