Helvigster Posted August 29, 2016 Share Posted August 29, 2016 NHL 17 is being released in just two weeks and I'm pretty excited for it, to be honest. I got excited for NHL 15 and, you know... that game was trash. I got excited for NHL 16 and it was better by 15, but it still wasn't good. And now we got 17 coming out, and I gotta say, it's lookin' good. Anyone else buyin' NHL 17? I sure am, 'cause I think EA Sports made a decent Next Gen hockey game for once... That's just low... the last EA NHL game on Old Gen is Legacy Edition. Everyone should be switching to Next Gen consoles by now. That's just my opinion. SOME people have been trying to switch but we just can't afford it because even though prices are dropping it's not relatively "cheap" right now. And game developers are cutting off features from last gen, like Bungie cutting off Iron Banner in Destiny to last gen, so we really have no choice when it comes to online play and stuff like that. I won't be trying NHL 17 anyway, because I'm fine with my NHL 09, and I can get a used copy of like NHL 11 from Gamestop for like 10 dollars or less by now. 60 dollars for a hockey game I'll only play maybe twice a month is a big waste. A hockey game shouldn't be: spending 30 years as a GM (basically until you die in the game) spending 10+ years as your own player spending infinite years in a dynasty spending infinite years on everything else having a bunch of game modes that make no sense A hockey game can be: managing a team for a few years as a GM playing as a team in a dynasty exhibition matches Infinite game modes also doesn't make a good game.
