Meaning, if there was a big shooting somewhere in the US, and a truck comes out with Gun on it, it would probably be in poor taste in the audience's eyes. Sorta like how they didn't debut Maximum Destruction directly after 9/11. Personally I think the Soldier Fortune turret should stay on because that's just part of the military aesthetic. Same with Gunslinger being changed to Slinger. Personally I think it would be better if they changed nothing at all instead of removing anything gun related and the controversy behind it, but I guess you're right about them playing it safe.
