standalones and non-standalones

How do I know if a truck pack is a standalone or a non-standalone if the creator doesnt say anything on the mod page? For example is the max-d truck standalone or non-standalone?, Or the mega breakable pack is that standalone or nonstandalone? Please help.

Standalones are trucks that include all meshes, parts, and textures. They do not need to be put into any other truck pack or combined with any other truck. Some content creators claim to have their trucks be standalone but they are missing textures. Put them in the v4 pack if you need the texture. If they say that some parts will not show up beyond 0.37, put it in the v4 pack, but test it, as it's a flip of the coin.

Non-standalones are required to be put in a truck pack to function properly. Your game will crash if you do certain things, such as removing them or changing your viewpoint.

All I can say is test it before you nest it.
