I've never had any problems with Mediafire, other sites etc etc. I download many, many files. I have no virus protection and my firewall is completely disabled. All it takes is a hint of logical thinking to know what to click and what not to click. If you're getting viruses you're doing something wrong. If you get Adblock Pro (Chrome and Firefox extension) you'll never see an ad/pop-up again. Including YouTube ads.

The GTX650 is a lot better. For around the $110 range look into AMD cards, they have some more powerful ones for cheaper than equivalent Nvidia cards, but they require more power. If you're going from an integrated card though, you'd probably be happy with just about anything.

Greenlight isn't used for mod packs for games... If anything, it would be Rigs of Rods or BeamNG being submitted on Greenlight.

Not trying to be rude or anything but if you're trying to make a computer that old be a good computer, it probably will be a lot more expensive than if you just custom-built a whole new one. If you want to make it play modern games, I'd imagine there's not many (if any) parts in it that you can keep.

The best ones are custom built, far cheaper as well. I have an Alienware X51, and if you're looking for prebuilt that is the way to go in my opinion. It's slightly overpriced, but at least it has good quality.
