Popular Post Mark Colineri Posted April 6, 2015 Popular Post Share Posted April 6, 2015 I am starting this thread to make everyone aware that I am currently working on a fairly large physics overhaul. When the V4 truck pack was released on Sim-Monsters, it was a big deal. It included the largest amount of accurate trucks to be introduced to Rigs Of Rods. As of late, though, many people are in agreement that the physics currently on the trucks are far from realistic. My goal is to revamp them, not only to create a more realistic racing experience, but to create a more fair racing experience for everyone. ZonR Posted April 6, 2015 Share Posted April 6, 2015 can i have a link to the world finals track the link they have already dosnt work and they look good will the bkt tires be on all the trucks and are you guys going to add 10th anniversary of max d This is just showing off the basics man, information will become available when they are 100% sure, and some trucks like MM Dalmation dont run BKT tires and if they were to make a new pack they would have all of that figured out, I wouldnt stress any of this, its still extremely early development. Adding diffs with the current physics setup greatly changes the output of power, so I'd imagine that a good amount of tweaking would have to be done to make realistic diffs. The way that ROR reacts to open, split or locked diff's when adding them to a truck file (no line makes them locked by default) would require an overhaul of the engine and gearing (for whatever reason it would increase acceleration) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I don't know too much about how actual trucks handle since I've never driven a monster truck before, but I can sure as hell say they are A LOT more realistic than what we have now.
