Two weeks strong, and still going, this weekend SSRS goes international!  The first of our two Preseason Events this weekend will be held at the Clarkson International Autodrome in Doncaster, England.  This is another track put together by David Stewart a little while ago, and should offer another interesting twist to the obstacle course, racing, and freestyle.

 

In making the Preseason exciting and worth running for everyone, we will be offering a special incentive for everyone running.  The Overall Preseason Points winner will receive first truck selection before sign-ups open.  While they will have to pick within or below their rank, they will be given the first pick before anyone else.  Hopefully this will help make the Preseason more than just a few fun-runs before the Regular Season kicks off (May 29th by the way).
 
Lastly will be the event format (which will be constant throughout the Regular Season).  We will be following the Fox Sports 1 Championship Series format, obstacle course, racing, and freestyle.  We will be running 20 trucks, with the top 8 racing, the next 8 in the obstacle course, and all 20 freestyling.  I will be sure to cover all information in detail during the Driver's Meeting before the event.

Event Times:
  • Sign-Ups:
    • Opens: Wednesday, May 6th, 2015 @ 5:00 est/4:00 cst
    • Closes: Friday, May 8th, 2015 @ 7:30 est/6:30 cst
  • Qualifying:
    • Opens: Friday, May 8th, 2015 @ 5:00 est/4:00 cst
    • Closes: Friday, May 8th, 2015 @ 7:30 est/6:30 cst
  • Event:
    • AIM Chat Opens: Friday, May 8th, 2015 @ 7:45 est/6:45 cst
    • Driver’s Meetings: Starts once 20 drivers are present
    • Obstacle, Racing, and Freestyle: Starts shortly thereafter
    • Field size is the Top 20 Qualifiers, anyone slower is a fill-in.
    • Faster 8 will race, next 8 will compete in obstacle course, all 20 freestyle.
 
Be sure that you are aware of the rules in our Rulebook before racing.  If you have any questions about the Rulebook, message an official on AIM or Sim-Monsters PM and we will respond as soon as possible.
