After 4 events and 31 competitors, SSRS concludes its Preseason Series at one of the historic SSRS tracks, MS Metroplex.  Designed back in 2013, it served as the first ever Play-Off Series Event.  At the time, 18 of the best racers competed for the first win of the series, and Mark Colineri, at the time driving Blue Thunder, and Julio Vellon Jr., driving Monster Energy, picked up wins in racing and freestyle.  This time we will be having 20 drivers competing between the Obstacle Course, Racing, and Freestyle, trying to earn enough points to win the Preseason Series and earn the first pick in the 2015 Season Sign-Ups.

 

And to take note of the Preseason Points, Joshua Micks has just taken the Overall Points lead over Aaron Lurie by 17 points going into this weekend, with Will Meyer 30 points behind first.  Points have been interesting over these few weeks, as competition has been at an all time high in SSRS, with a different winner in all three competitions all Preseason, minus Devin Doss' back-to-back freestyle wins and Mark Colineri's Double Down last weekend.  This leads to the hope of one of the best seasons of racing competition yet seen on Sim-Monsters, and there are most likely even more people to jump on board when the season starts.

 

We hope to get a big turnout for this event as we will be opening Regular Season Sign-Ups shortly after the conclusion of the event.  Please be sure to check out the Sign-Ups thread when it is posted to make sure you are set on your rank and truck choice before it opens.

Event Times:
  • Sign-Ups:
    • Opens: Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 @ 5:00 est/4:00 cst
    • Closes: Saturday, May 16th, 2015 @ 7:30 est/6:30 cst
  • Qualifying:
    • Opens: Saturday, May 16th, 2015 @ 5:00 est/4:00 cst
    • Closes: Saturday, May 16th, 2015 @ 7:30 est/6:30 cst
  • Event:
    • AIM Chat Opens: Saturday, May 16th, 2015 @ 7:45 est/6:45 cst
    • Driver’s Meetings: Starts once 20 drivers are present
    • Obstacle, Racing, and Freestyle: Starts shortly thereafter
    • Field size is the Top 20 Qualifiers, anyone slower is a fill-in.
    • Faster 8 will race, next 8 will compete in obstacle course, all 20 freestyle.

  • Gold
  • Silver
  • Bronze
  • Rookie
 
For this event, and all going forward, you must pick a truck that is within or below your rank.

You do not need to state a reason for your rank as this is just a Preseason Event.  Also remember that you must pick from the correct ranks, which can be seen here:
 
 
Sign-Ups will be opening after the event concludes!  Be sure to check the Sign-Ups thread to have your sign-up correctly filled out and ready to post.  We will be allowing the Preseason Points Champion the opportunity to pick their truck first, followed by Platinum Drivers, and then all ranked drivers will be allowed to sign-up.
 
As an another perk for competing in the Preseason Series, we will be giving ranks to drivers.
The Top 5 in Overall will be moved up to Gold, unless already Gold, in which they will become Platinum.
Spots 6-15 will be moved up to Silver, unless already Silver, in which they will become Gold.
