About This File
Track Name: John Fitch Fairgrounds
Location: Fitchburg MA
Date opened: 1912
Track Facts: JFF was built in 1912 by local farmers to show off the world's fastest cows. Cow races were run until 1968 when the hippies shut the cow races down because it was considered “abusive to the cows”. They attempted to bring back cow racing in 2014 but PETA protested outside the facility. It is currently used for tractor pulls, demolition derbies, amongst other events. In 2024 the fair added rides to further entice people to come to the events. It hosted the 2nd ever Big Dawgs monster truck event on January 8th 2012 and has been a mainstay on the calendar since.
Track X: Racing is standard St. Louis style to pay homage to the original track. Due to persistent heavy rains from tropical storm Harold the track crew opted not to paint the obstacles and only the start/finish line (Totally not the creator that is unable to make a proper UV map). Freestyle is a blend of old school with new school flow to optimize combination and cross threading moves.
