The short answer is SEO and leeching. If we can generate return traffic after 24 hours it helps in SEO.. You can avoid these limits by becoming obtaining a distinguished role or becoming a donator.

You have downloaded files today not sure what your asking on how do you download a file? You've downloaded 25 already which is the daily limit for a basic members account.

Everything is working as intended, you hit the maximum downloads per day. Members get 25 files per day, 5 as a guest. Donators get unlimited

This is a Boolean SQL thing, If we only had it search letters or numbers it would take massive resources to search the entire forum for anything with the letter A for example. It is possible; however the server resources needed to make it work is not worth it.

Casey Graves and I created sim-monsters to allow for a community that was an open place to share and collaborate ideas. We were a rival site to a popular site at the time RORMJ, as we grew in popularity the time the owners of rormj faded, eventually leading to the site being non-existent.
