  1. What started as a small side project back in early 2020 for an MTM2 track has turned into a massive quest to digitally recreate every commonly-used track banner that ran at a USHRA event for use in Rigs of Rods. These should help add some period-correct decor to whatever track you decide to make from yesteryear, spanning from 1990 to 2011.

Inside the zip file are over 200 different track banners, organized into 24 different PNG files sorted by year with information at the bottom of each in regards to which banners were used where and why.
Note that not every banner was used at every show during said year, thus why there is information at the bottom when needed. These PNG files are meant for you to cut out the banners you need and use them for your own texture, rather than using the PNG files themselves as textures.

I have also included various banners used for TNT Motorsports, as well as USA Motorsports during their final two years. I do have plans to make more recent banners from 2011 onward, but for now, I'm going to release what I have so far and add more years later, so stay tuned for future updates.

PLEASE NOTE: I tried my best to make sure that every banner has the correct proportions, regardless of their size in comparison to one another, so try not to stretch or squish them when applying them to your track, otherwise they will look wrong.

Special thanks to Chris B, xyrose, and FridgeDealer for their assistance.

  2. After many months of trial and error, I can finally say I've created an short-pipe zoomies sound that I think is worthy of being posted on Sim Monsters and used in Rigs of Rods. I've probably gone through 10-12 different versions of this particular exhaust sound, but I think this version turned out the best. Initially I wasn't happy with it, but after almost a dozen attempts, I think it's the best one I've gotten by far.

I truly believe that these are some of the most important sounds to have in this game, considering a vast majority of monster trucks have used short-pipe zoomies in their lifespan.
If your truck happens to have exhaust similar to that in the picture I've included with this file, feel free to use them, but give credit where credit is due.

Here's a quick example of how the sounds are in game.

The trucks I sampled are Predator and Grave Digger. There may be a third, but if so, I can't remember who it was. The idle I believe was made by Beau4x4.
  3. Monster truck haulers can be eye-catching borderline works of art, but there aren't that many dynamic hauler textures out there for track makers to utilize and add further detail to their era-specific tracks. As a result, I've taken most of the hauler textures that I've made over the past 3+ years and applied them to MaxDMan's popular semi truck models. This largely focuses on the late 90's and 2000's, but there's some modern haulers included as well. I'll be adding more as time goes on.
As it says in the title, these are not exact replicas of real life monster truck haulers, both in terms of the semi model itself as well as the paintwork that it uses (Get it? Semi-replicas?). That being said, I've tried to make each hauler well-recognizable without needing to perfect the details.

ALL HAULER MODELS AND BASE-TEXTURES ARE MADE BY MAXDMAN.
  4. This might be the most used RoR custom sound pack, but there's no official download for it on the website. That, and most people use the stereo version of these sounds.
DO NOT USE THE STEREO VERSION OF THESE SOUNDS. USE THE MONO VERSION HERE. To make a long story short, stereo sounds are always at full volume no matter how far away the camera is from the truck, which can be extremely annoying and disruptive. That's just how Rigs of Rods does things. Easiest way to tell if they're stereo sounds is to spawn a truck and zoom the camera out. If it's the same volume level, they're stereo and not mono.
Therefore, this way, we not only have an official download, but one that presents these sounds in their best possible form.
There's numerous videos of these sounds in action so I just chose a random one.

I don't remember which truck this sampled, but I think it was Over Bored.

  5. In case you want a zoomies sound with a more gravely, rough, old-school sound, these sounds should do the trick. You may have heard these sounds in the LF4 leafer pack released by WorpeX, as they were originally made for said pack, but this is the Box5-friendly version of said sounds for whatever truck you want to use them for that has a rougher sound. They're called V4 because that's what the soundscript is tuned for.

The trucks I sampled are Grave Digger, Kamikaze, and (another truck that I unfortunately forget but it might be) Playn For Keeps.
Here's what they sound like in game with the LF4 trucks.

  6. Here's a sound pack that I made last year, designed to replicate the sound of the Hemi's Allen Pezo has run for the past two decades. Basically me blending Open Headers with some other samples to get a unique voicing. It's possible that these were created by accident too, where they just happened to sound a bit like Pezo's trucks, but I forget.

  7. These sounds were originally made for Marcelo's Goldberg pack, but here they are as a standalone sound pack. Perfect for long zoomies that don't sound smooth, but rather really raspy and sputtery with a Hemi-like voicing.

  8. Here's my second sound pack that I'm releasing on the website. These sounds were meant to be used for Maximum Destruction and can be heard in various episodes of The Long Game.
Tom's old truck has such a distinct sound to it, so I can't say whether or not these are exactly how I want them to be. I may go back and make changes at some point and may have made a mistake or two, but let me know what you guys think.

I also added an NAMT-tuned version of these sounds, in case anybody here with open headers on a front-engine truck want to give it some accurate sounds.

For this pack, the trucks I sampled were California Kid, Jester, and Maximum Destruction.

Be sure to give proper credit when using these in your truck.
  9. Here's my first sound pack that I'm releasing on the website, and my first file period. These sounds were meant to be used for a truck like Gunslinger/Slinger when I was making them, hence the name "Sling" in the file, but can be used for any truck that uses collectors. I encourage you to do the same, because I think these turned out pretty well. I may go back and make changes at some point and may have made a mistake or two, but it's my first file, after all. Let me know what you guys think.

For this pack, the trucks I sampled were Gunslinger, Reptoid, and Xtermigator.

  10. First and foremost, I still believe that ZoomiesV2 is a superior rendition of this type of exhaust sound. That being said, this was my best attempt at recreating something similar.

I made these sounds for Marcelo's Taurus 4 pack over a year ago, hoping to recreate the sound of that truck. They don't quite have that velcro-esque, raspy breakup to them that you hear on the old Taurus trucks, but I think they do the job decently for a truck with long-pipe zoomies but with a smoother breakup. Hopefully you can find them useful for your own project(s).
They're named OVB because I sampled the original Over Bored to make them, as well as California Kid and Grave Digger 20. Make sure to give credit where credit is due.
You can hear a sample of them ingame here.

  11. I still think ZoomiesV2 is the superior rendition of this type of sound, but here is my latest attempt at capturing the raspy, velcro-esque sounds of long-pipe zoomies. These definitely roar more than growl, but still have that raspy sound to them and I feel would suit a number of different trucks with this type of exhaust, or any that have a similar sound. Be sure to give credit where credit is due.

The trucks I sampled were Grave Digger, California Kid, and Instigator.
  12. As a request from Danny Werewolf, I put together these truck sounds that emulate the unique muffler sound of Team Scream's trucks. They don't sound like most mufflers, such as Magnaflows, and I couldn't find any existing sounds that were similar, so when using these types of mufflers on one of your Rigs of Rods trucks, these sounds are essential.
The trucks I sampled were Spitfire and Avenger. Be sure to give credit where credit is due when using these for your own project.

  13. These sounds are meant to replicate the fine-tuned growl of Mike Harper's Outlaw/Bear Foot/Texas Stomper/El Oso Loco trucks that have the engine up front, and can also be used for a Team Meents b-truck such as High Roller or Hot Wheels. My Meents2 sounds have a bit more of a roar to them compared to these, which have more of a growl, and I think both serve their purpose well. They both sound unique. Hopefully you can find these useful for your own project(s). The trucks I sampled were Bear Foot and Jester.

  14. Here's a collector sound pack which I made a while ago. These sounds are meant to replicate the Bigfoot trucks of the early-mid 1990's, specifically 10 and 11, hence the name "OldFoot". However, they can be used for any truck that you like as long as it uses collectors and/or has a similar sound. These have a bit more treble and high-end compared to my "Sling" collector sounds, which makes them sound more aggressive. Just be sure to give credit where credit is due.

The trucks I sampled were WCW Stinger and Razin' Kane.
  15. Since there isn't really a good muffler sound out there that is either posted on this site or has correct volume levels, I figured I'd make my own. These were originally called "IndieMufflers" since they didn't sound too much like the FELD trucks, but after spending extra time listening to and tuning them, I don't think it matters too much. These should work for most modern applications. Just be sure to give credit where credit is due.

The trucks I sampled are El Toro Loco and Get Er Done.
  16. Here's another short-pipe zoomies sound pack, which sonically is sort of a blend between my "Open Headers" and "FleetZoomies" sounds. They sound more crisp and raspy than "FleetZoomies" but retain the gut-wrenching roar that "Open Headers" doesn't have.
These are meant to replicate the sound of Dennis Anderson's Grave Digger from the late 90's-early 2000's. That being said, these can be used for any truck that has short-pipe zoomies, given they sound similar to the truck in question, or if you're just looking to make a custom and like how these sound. Just be sure to give credit where credit is due.

Here's an example of what they sound like in game.

The trucks I sampled are Backdraft, Play'n For Keeps, Wadded Up, and Grave Digger.
  17. While I'm satisfied with my other short-pipe zoomies sounds and feel they've been put to good use, I've decided to offer an alternate version as well, blending portions of the "Open Headers" sounds with others in order to create something that sounds less precise and fine-tuned and more unhinged and wild with some more bottom-end. As a result, these are very loud.
These sounds are meant to capture that gut-wrenching, puke-inducing power of the USHRA "fleet" trucks from the late 90's and early 2000's, as well as any truck with short-pipe zoomies that would roar rather than growl. That's where the name "fleet" comes from, as this short-pipe zoomies project from day one has been about replicating the sound of the early Monster Jam turn-key PEI's, two examples of which I've featured in the preview photo. Be sure to give credit where credit is due.

  18. Shockwave and Outrage (2012 edition) are two custom trucks originally created by Natalia Gage (PM Customs) for Monster Truck Madness 2 in the early 2010's, but I have remade them for Rigs of Rods with a modern twist. They're not exact replicas of their MTM2 counterparts, but I think they came out very well and capture the vibe of those two trucks accurately. Shockwave is an unreleased custom that Natalia made in the early 2010's, and Outrage is the 2012 version of her flagship custom truck, going all the way back to 2009.

These are open customs, so feel free to pick them for an event that uses the new setup.

    Open custom.
  20. This is a remake of an MTM2 truck originally created by Kevin "Rep Fan" Muhs, done on the new NAMT setup. Sadly, Kevin passed away a few years ago, so this truck is a tribute to him and his work from over the years. I know he wasn't a fan of people re-using his work, but maybe he'll give this one a pass...
Texture mapping on the body isn't perfect, but it's my first submitted truck and I think it turned out well. Thanks to some additional help from Danny Werewolf in getting the body to reflect properly.

    Not an open custom.
