All Elite Monster Trucks Week 2 Review

Week 2 of All Elite Monster Trucks was surely exciting and goes to show that you shouldn't always put all your poker chips on one card, or in this case 1 competitor!

Stadiums was a moment for redemption, as the former points leader Vincent Akard in Rockwell R.E.D. was unable to show up to defend his championship series lead. He did get himself two points as the fastest qualifier, however he fell in the points because of him not being present at Houston. Many drivers took the opportunity to get as many points as they could to take the championship series lead. The Semi Final round proved to be interesting, as Marshall Harris filling in for Carson Williams in Great Clips Mohawk Warrior was only NARROWLY beaten by Ewan Ford in El Toro Loco Black. Deli in Gas Monkey Garage also made a statement by defeating Travis Palm in Wrecking Machine. The final round was another close race, this time seeing Deli defeat Ewan for the racing win. The complex and unique floor would be challenging for most to lay down a solid Skills run. Deli, Billy Badass and Travis Palm laid down exceptional hits, but no one took the opportunity quite like the tour owner Jackson Morris in the VP Mad Scientist did, with an incredible moonwalk to wheelie to moonwalk to wheelie to moonwalk combo, and a slam stoppie that he put into a moonwalk, earning him the Skills win for the first time on the tour. Freestyle also proved to be challenging, as lots of drivers went over early. Marshall Harris almost claimed himself the win, but got narrowly beaten by Travis Palm. With this exceptional performance in Houston, Travis now leads the points series, with Ewan Ford in ETL and Deli in GMG lurking behind.

The Arena series got off to great start during qualifying, as Lionel Herrera would earn himself the first 2 points before the start of the event. The racing finale was super exciting, as Dillon Kearns in Megalodon and Jackson Meszaros in Monster Mutt Rottweiler would square off for the first time in the tour. Meszaros was determined as the winner by a truck length. Dillon managed to make do with the added room for Skills, by dominating the competition with an incredible reverse bicycle to wheelie to moonwalk to twist combo, earning himself the win. For Freestyle, we saw absolutely jaw dropping runs from Dillon Kearns, Freddy Dinapoli in Wild Side and Max Silver in Max-D. But Lionel, driving Zombie Fire, proved why he is the driver to beat, by winning Freestyle. Lionel still has the points lead heading into Week 3, but with the tour winding down, it will sure be interesting to see what these drivers can pull off.
