Let's see, Earnhardt Jr in top notch equipment can average a win every 4 years while he has done excellent this year. Any other driver would be out of their ride, yet the only reason why their owners keep them around is because their last name brings in the $$$$ in merch sales. I hate seeing people like Landon Cassill get screwed out of rides struggle in below average equipment and put out great results top 15's top 20's while buy riders, (John WesTownley, Joey Logano, etc.) Get top equipment and don't put out the results. Casey Graves Posted August 14, 2012 Share Posted August 14, 2012 Talent only gets you so far now a days, its all about who can bring in the most money. Also Cassill hasn't impressed me this year like he did last year, idk if its the team or what but hes really hasn't done much, and with the talent out there with the money they can bring to a team he probably won't get a chance at a good ride unless he goes to a small team and hopes they can develop into a top tier team like MWR has done over the past 5 years.
