Can't even drive trucks on 4.8. What am I doing wrong?

I installed ROR 4.8 yesterday, and tried getting my controller to work. However, the rear steer button and the downshift button were the exact same, so I uninstalled the game and reinstalled. Now, when I try to use my keyboard, the trucks don't even move. What am I doing wrong?
