I've been away from the RoR scene for quite a while, what ever happened to the BeamNg idea? The CRD mod is something I actually enjoy messing with. I tried to search the forum for a reason so ppl wouldn't cry about me asking but couldn't find anything.

Yo fellow monsters, let me start off by stating I'm severely impressed with the direction all the new trucks have gone with the level of detail. Like I noticed the new Razin Kane truck has puke tubes running from the headers, I dig that a lot. Kudos to you designers.

The driver models that sit in the seats are cool for visuals, however, I don't really care for them because a lot of times I like to ride from the inside to make it more immersive but the shield on the helmet of the model blocks the inside camera so I have to choose a different truck, or camera. Which sucks because I love to check out the newest trucks that are released, inside and out, and a lot of times I end up using them quite often. So instead of picking a different truck or camera, I was wondering if there was a way to remove the driver model, or is the model tied in with the seat model as well? 

It's not a great big deal or anything, I was just wondering if it was possible. Thanks!

Yeah I know about the U option but it's hard to keep my mind on the driving when I have to press U every time I switch camera views. I was wondering if there was a way to completely remove it, like permanently out of my game. Thanks for trying to help though guys. 

Hey guys, I was wondering if there was a way to remove the HUD in-game? I play the game in a theatrical way, so I'm switching between certain camera views constantly and love to have the full screen as the HUD ruins my experience. I dislike just throwing the camera behind the truck and going crazy, I like to put the cameras in certain places and do realistic stunts and make it as theatrically enjoyable as possible. I haven't gave it a search on the site as I figured hardly anyone else would like to rid of the hud like myself. If there is anyway to do it, please let me know how. Thanks guys!

From the application launch itself. It's what I use.but I use .126, I assume you use .117

I use .126, and I just tried to launch from the application you were referring to and still nothing changed.. :/

This may sound dumb, but you did click save and play or save and exit right? Lol

Of course lol, I wouldn't have been able to play without clicking "Save and Play" because I launch the game from the configurator, always have. I didn't know there was another way.

Hey Guys, I was playing the other day and noticed something was weird about my game. I tried to tick the "Motion Blur" box, just to experiment, and the effect wouldn't work in-game. So I un-ticked all the boxes and played to see what it looked like, then I ticked all the boxes that I usually play with and there was not one difference. My effects won't work at all. Anyone else had this problem ? I have .37, and it worked a while back. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

We are still farting around on .37. Other than that, not much has changed. Not sure when you left, but we are still using the V4 pack, although many mods/updates have been released to make the base pack look a bit better.

Ah, dang. I figured it'd for sure be on .38 by now. I left around March/April, and I remember people telling me we were really close to the switch. Oh well, everything still looks amazing. Thanks for replying

It's been a while since I've checked in since building my new computer, but I was thinking last night while watching a freestyle from Ryan Anderson, and I miss my monster trucks and the SimMonster community. So I'm ready to get it all setup and ready on my new computer and get back into it since I have a computer worth using now. I'm wondering which version I should download, last I knew we were using .37 and on the verge of switching to .38, so I have no idea where everything stands at the moment. Basically, I'm just trying to catch back up with everything after being away for a while. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !

I'm just wondering if anybody on this site plays Rust at all. I'm getting bored with playing by myself and not having any backup to do things. I want to start a group or something with a few people so we can have the ability to hop on a server and dominate. If you have Rust or something else you want to play with someone, just add me on Steam. I just built this computer and I need more people to play with period. ROR will have better performance with intel. The only game that is better with AMD at the moment is Battlefield. I have an 8350 and a 270x (waiting on 800 series) And i love it. I was going to go with the 280x before litecoin miners shot it up into the $400 dollar range. The only FPS game i'll really be getting into when it comes out is Battlefront 3. And since that will have Mantle support i knew an 8350 would be best for me and my needs. Also please make sure you get a good PSU, what do you plan on getting now as far the PSU goes?

I got a Corsair CX750M because it was on sale on Amazon for $80 rather than $121 from Newegg. If I went through Newegg I would've had to get a Rosewill HIVE series 700w for $80. But now the CX750M is $79 on Newegg after I've already ordered everything from Amazon. I saved alot going through Amazon. So I was able to get an R9-280x Sapphire Vapor-x instead of the HIS R9-280x IceQ X2 that I was originally going to get, better RAM,a better Mobo and case. So all in all I'm happy I went with Amazon. PLus, I ordered through my Uncle and he has free Prime shipping, so I saved with that also.

I think I'm gonna go with the 8350. I'll be able to get a better graphics card and I think it will be better for future games with multi-cored support. This decision has been tearing my brain apart lol. I've decided on one at least 6 times a piece and then I find a new review that switches me to the other one. I just wish I had another $200 so I could get the 780 and an i7-4770k..

Well trust me, if I could afford the i7-4770k, I'd definitely get it. But it won't allow for that in my budget, especially since I have to get an OS. I'd get the i5-4670k for sure if it had hyperthreading.. But like I said also, the 8350 would allow for a higher end graphics card.

Wouldn't it be better for games that run more than 4 core? Like Battlefield 4. Also, the XboxOne and PS4's are 8 core, so if games are ported from them they would perform better on the 8350.. That's what I read anyways. Idk.

Whats up monsters? I need some opinions on the computer that I'm about to purchase and build.

In my price range ($1200), I'm stuck between which CPU to get.. I can either get an i5-4670k ($230 but more expensive Moptherboards) and a GTX 770/760. Or I can get an AMD FX-8350 ($199 and cheaper motherboards) and get an R9 280x graphics card. The 8350 is an 8 physical core 125w processor (weaker cores but more cores), the 4670k is a 4 physical core 84w (stronger cores but less cores) so the i5 has better single core performance but doesn't have HyperThreading.

I want to play games (obviously lol), start building trucks and tracks and streaming things so I figured the 8 core would be better for multi-core/threaded applications, and I can get the higher end GCard. But it doesnt have very good single core performance and alot of games don't use more than 4 cores at the moment but I read that would change since most computer games are ported from console, and the new consoles have 8 cores in them.. So the i5 would have better performance FOR NOW on most games. I just don't know what to do, and I want it to be as future proof as I can make it. I know they say you can't do that when it comes to computer building but I need to.

So let me know what you guys think I should do. I just need some polite opinions and I don't want this to turn into a AMD vs Intel fight. I've read multiple threads on the exact same topic and still can't make a decision. Thanks. If you need more detais on the situation just ask.

I was thinking that also, as I was watching I was like, "SHUT HIM OFF!" Lol. But like Patriotic Canadion said, It WAS pretty dumb on Cams part.

I love these. The bottom Solo Baric L7 is what I have in my car, accept its 15' and in a Pro Series Competition box. Its a way bigger box, I hate the stock Kicker boxes. Awesome job!

Umm.... Guys, I think he means a truck with v5 parts on it, like the ukraine tires, parts from the Mopar Magic 2.0 truck, etc. And remember Corey can't even build a truck though so you never know what happened.

Lol, turns out you're correct.

I also had this problem and had to re-extract ALL my downloaded vehicles.. If you downloaded the Newedle 2 truck by Preston, that one seems to mess up peoples driveshafts. He said that its because he put the moving DShaft on his Newedle. When you extract it to your folder you need to click No on the YellowDshaft, or just No to All. I can send you the normal file and you overwrite it like I did for Voth. That will fix it.

I was gonna make an appreciation post like this, I was waiting until I got a little more known to the community but whatever.

It seems every truck/track that is released gets more and more detailed and realistic looking. The work you guys put into it, just to be flooded with questions and to be unappreciated by some usually over the slightest mistake, is truly amazing. Not to mention the leaks and mishaps that go on, creators continue to put forth effort while balancing their everyday lives to allow the SimMonsters community in its entirety to share the same passion for the greatest sport as they do. Not only with incredible accuracy, but with increasing creativity as well. As soon as I can figure my Blender situation out, I will be contributing as much as I can to give help to the ones who allowed me to enjoy my time here so far.

So a big Thank You to all content creators/contributors, as I feel you deserve money for what you do. Also, a big Thank You to the Forum contributers who answer peoples questions respectively and patiently. I love being apart of this community and hope it remains.
