  1. rcmt did help me out with compatibility questions with my Sledgehammer with newer parts. I've been so busy with buying a house and working on it that I haven't been on hardly any sites regarding r/c or monster trucks though haha.

  2. My batteries died right before he did the damned backflip. I was upset at that. :( And looking back at the video and the track I guess there's less wrong than I originally thought. Seems just the entrance placement, there's a missing car (my side of the stadium towards the left. Both sets of cars are double cars on that side. Don't mean to make a big deal just wanting to help with info where I can to help whomever is trying to create a more complete replica of the real thing. My link

  3. Finally gave this a try. Definitely a fun track. See my video's if you want good examples of the difference between this track and the real one from last year. For reference the entrance from my vids where the truck entered are on my side, to my left. I'll be at this years event this upcoming weekend with my boyfriend. I'll get pics from different angles this year as we show up way before the main event while it's still light out. Of course it'll be before they rearrange for the freestyle as well when I take the full view pics. http://www.youtube.com/user/foxdude0486?feature=mhum

  4. I definitely can't wait for it I had the original 1942. Died off for a while and came back for Battlefield Bad Company 2 and loved it. So I'm sure I'll buy and love BF3 when it comes out.

  5. Are you getting the error when downloading from here, or the megaupload site? Because the file on this site is just a text file telling you to download from the megaupload site.

edit: After watching that youtube vid, tomorrow's races should prove to be very interesting. I don't have time to try the track tonight, but will tomorrow and hope the grip on the pavement matches what I just saw. Need to practice not flipping around those hairpin turns hahaha.

  6. Yeah, having the cars cause issues is a common thing right now. Happened to me when freestyling last night, caused the truck to behave oddly and even at slow speeds hitting it directly, my truck went sideways.

  7. rear steer is directly linked to engine rpm for how fast it turns. Luckily you don't need to get the engine rpm up to fast to steer. As for the front wheels, there should be sensitivity settings in the configuration app to adjust how quick it turns. A wheel and pedals would DEFINITELY improve what you get out of simulation games like this one. I have a Logitech G25, which gives me a 6 speed shifter with reverse, and a clutch pedal added to the mix, and paddle shifters on the wheel.

Now, for Monster trucks, I set it up so that paddle shifters shift, clutch (useful for getting to a ramp then dumping power, as well as backflips), and set my shifter into a forwards/backwords mode. All I have to do for rear steer is push the shifter forward for left, let go and it re-centers, pull back and it rear-steers right. I prefer this over the other way around, because the paddles turn with the wheel, and I don't want to have to look down at the wheel to know which paddle is turning left/right, and I don't shift to often when turning.

If you want to master fast turning, either get very slow to improve your turn radius, or learn how to throw the rear end around without rolling the truck.

  8. Ah ok, so it's pretty new, and up north. I lived near Detroit for a good 8 years, but moved back to Florida back in 2005. As long as it's good to throw into the season races here. :) Used to listen to 89x when living up there. Wonder if we'll get the same trucks as last year here in Jacksonville. My batteries died last year during Nitro Circus run, right before he did the backflip. Didn't have time to swap in new ones and keep recording video.

  9. Thanks guys. My first question was going to be how to control the rear wheel steering, but I started going over the keyboard till I found them haha. Makes me kind of wish I had an analog joystick or something I could use with it.

For now I'm using my Logitech G25 that I had used with iracing and Live 4 Speed. I'm using two buttons on the shifter piece to steer the rear. But with shifting being somewhat rare, I'm thinking of shifting with the buttons on the wheel (or paddles), and using the shifter's 3rd and 4th gears to control the steering.

Now I just need to learn how to control the truck better haha.
