Mark Colineri
Let me start off with the back story. My dad and I bought this truck off of ebay for $10,000. It was listed as a 1945 Ford F1 with new wiring, new motor, new transmission, totally safe, daily driver. We got it shipped from Florida to New Jersey in an enclosed trailer. We got it at 1AM in the winter time, it was 40 degrees if that. The truck wasnt running, so we had to pull it to my house with my 1978 Cub Cadet lawn tractor. The next day, we come to find it had a blown motor, the trans was shot, and the wiring wasnt in any way new. The guy used household wiring to wire the truck. The gas tank was shot on the thing. My dad ended up getting half his money back from the guy. We totally rebuilt this thing. We put in a new radiator, motor and parts, transmission, rear end, gas tank and proper wiring with gauges, a new firewall and dashboard. The body has stayed the same, but mechanically it is a totally different truck. Here are the pictures I took from throughout the build. We actually have the original bill of sale. The truck was made in February of 1945 and sold to Bennit Construction in Kansas City, Kansas. The truck was originally yellow, and the color you see it is the color it is as of now.
