Blender Wont Launch.

So ive been using blender 2.49 for over a year now and after the recent windows update (this also happened to my friend djpgamer7) and out of no where now I cant launch my blender It starts the command prompt shows python loaded etc than it goes black and says blender.exe has stopped working ive tried compatibility modes re-installing and resetting nothing will fix it.

Im having the same problem. The problem is on the new pc I built and not my old laptop.
