  1. After last season, Ya will be lucky if we even stream the events. Let this be a warning to all the noobs that spammed and trolled the last one, We WILL be monitoring the stream chat, if we even have decide to bring it back.

Isn't it possible to disable stream chat alltogether? I know the Guitar Hero guys used to do it, especially in GuitarHeroPhenom's stream, where there'd be like 200-300 people in it.

  2. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is hilarious. I can hook you up with a save so you're not grinding for everything, but it's a fun game to just mess around in. This was IMO the only good Lego game series before they started making a ton of rip-offs

Both DiRT games are enjoyable and cheap. Online is pretty competitive if you play after 10:00 pm EST. If you don't, welcome to bumper cars.

Not sure how big you are into MX games, but MX Simulator is pretty solid. If you plan on buying the full game, there's a ton of addon tracks that are insanely realistic and it's really the only dirt bike game that's a true sim out there.

Skate 3 is a game I suggest even if you're not into skateboarding. It's the opposite of Tony Hawk. It's realistic, with tons of arcade elements. It's how Skateboarding in a video game should be done.

I suggest renting Homefront for the campaign.

  3. Not to mention the fact that we've got guys coming over here that are actually in the Monster Jam community. I'm pretty sure none of us want to get sued.

This is actually pretty decent thinking, and hasn't actually been explained to me in full before.

I always thought when you guys said "oh we'd get sued if they found out we were ripping models", I kinda laughed. I mean, we're like 50 guys making trucks & tracks for the fun of it. But I guess considering that some of you are in the MJ community, word could definitely get around that ROR is getting noticed by some of the drivers, and it could spell some trouble. I mean, one of the guys that endorsed P.o.D ran in a few KOTH events with us, so if someone heard through the grape vine that he was playing a better game that used their copywrited material, it could easily spell disaster for all of us.

While I don't nessecarily get along with you JRob, I'll admit you just wrote the smartest post I've ever read on here. No need for red text ryan, JR couldn't have put it any better!

  4. I think roach's facebook post said it all

after seeing tom's freestyle last night. i would like to see some independent truck NOT owned by feld do that and see if they get RII'ed and told they were done. plus how about giving these independent trucks a chance at the world finals? they work so much harder than any feld team to get their truck out there every weekend. GIVE SOME RESPECT TO THE INDEPENDENTS.

The nice thing is, Feld hasn't loveed up the IHRA yet.

  5. More grip does not make it realistic at all (in my opinion). Some tracks do have grip I realize that. And for some occasions its not a problem but for me I find the non grippy tracks more realistic and challenging. I'm sure Dig will probably agree with me on this and as will others. It takes more skill to maneuver around a non grippy track (because you need to use the throttle, brake and rear steer more) then it does on a hacked up grip track. I'm not bashing anyones style or tracks but I just believe the tracks you can slide on are more fun and realistic in my eyes.

    Somewhat agree.

The large chicago style tracks you guys run don't have a lot of grip, which is, you're right, more challenging and more realistic.

What I've been doing is watching a sample race from the real life equivalent track, and then doing a lap or two in ROR. The large stadium tracks, which you describe as the non grippy tracks, look dead on to the real thing in terms of how the trucks behave. In the case of Allstate Arena, I've been watching this vid (skip to 5:10):

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lxlt2MFcaoc

With the increased grip that Ethan put, you're actually able to drive the track exactly like the passes you see in the vid. You can almost take the turn perfectly USING BOTH AXLES and not have the truck slide or need to correct with the rear steer like you would on a big arena track.

please don't hit me if the above post sounded dumb
