Bayley motorsport has two trucks (like most people!) ready for DJM, the current truck "The Old Drover" is open for a team-mate, it's a reliable and fast truck with some decent suspension to cope with any freestyle.

The black chev is slowy coming together, trials with the wing from Monster Patrol failed, but all is not lost yet!

  2. Since my work on my "mystery" truck is almost peaking I've been fiddling around with blender and made this truck:

Whats so special about the truck?

1: It used to be the same body as GD:Legend

    and

    2:

It has dual wheels on the rear.

Due to my low skills in making trucks the wheels don't contact ramps and walls properly, but do work when the truck is on level ground.

Just got to get back to the DJM truck I'm building now!

  3. Great event as usual, a few missed runs from some people sadly and a celebrity driver in the midst of us regulars was a nice suprise.

Congrats to Mark for winning the "endurance" run he and Damian had.

And a special congratulations to Dan for taking freestyle in USA-1 by half a point over Mark!

I know I suprised a few people (including myself!) with a stellar first run from the Drover truck (reverse gear was popular!) but for Dan to go out and instantly top it shows how good a driver he is.

And finally, praize for Camshaft, who took Michigan Ice monster out and put in a grand first event.

Can't wait for next week, with some newer drivers and more regulars starting to switch to customs it promises to be the best fun-run simmonster can offer!

  4. One thing I've learned from painting cars on NASCAR The Game: Inside Line (I'm in a painting contest, league, thing.):  Save often.

Lesson for working with ANY track creator on ANY system.

-edit- might as well show my work.

From the money Bayley motorsport made from selling the "drover" to FELD to become a Crocodile Dundee ride truck we have made enough money to build a new supertruck!

Freshly edited chassis, about .4 times longer than the original truck

Just got to paint the shocks and bake the shell and the new mystery truck is ready to go for the DJM series.

  5. I'm not a smoker, but I am around plenty of them, and this truck reminds me of a pack of Marlboro (however it's spelled) cigarettes lol! Nice truck though :-)

Nice spot, the original version was in full Marlboro colours but I toned it down a bit for this truck.

It's a very popular paint job in Australia and I'd say about 20% of our racecars are painted up in the scheme, I just put it onto a monster truck.

  6. Well, after a fair bit of fiddling, my fifth custom truck (and first serious attempt) is done and is actually decent for once.

The "Drover" runs off the chassis of Bad News with suspension softened by a bit, body is from Mechanical Mischeif, with some minor blemishes smoothed over in blender.

Flags are USA and AUS flags. tires are ukraines front and rear.

Hope to have this truck running at the next Hump Day shootout then practice in blender to make the DJM version.

  7. Nice track, only problem I have is the... probably the white ground.

I've been back into skinning trucks again thanks to a blender-less cloning tutorial and turned my Bad News truck "Drover" into something older, since Australia doesn't really have any modern monster trucks, a 90's chev will do.

Just got to put a design on it and see if I can get permission to run it in the next Hump Day Shootout.
