  1. You guys is crazy, you know that?

My favs are probably Zero bars, Kit-Kats, Milky Ways, Snickers, both chocolate and yogurt covered raisins, almost anything gummy (Spicy Gummy Tacos??? YUCK!) Butterfinger BBs, Starburst (Lemon in particular), Jelly beans, fruit slices, Hersheys, Cookies and Cream,  boobies, M&M's Bars, Babe Ruth bars, and aw hell, just about anything without coconut. (it's a texture thing really, I don't mind the taste, but it's the texture that gets me)

  2. Well, I don't know how I did it, but I managed to hit not one, but TWO vehicles within 30 minutes today! Both for the same stupid reason, too. Basically, I'm not used to my new Buick being so much longer than my old Altima yet, and I'm almost always misjudging distances in it, which I almost always have more room than I think, but not today. The first time, I grazed a guy's bumper trying to get into a parking space to deliver papers, but it barely left a scratch so he just smiled and shrugged it off. Then, once I'd finished the stop, I backed into a guy's pick-up. Put a pretty decent dent in his passenger door and janked the side-step all up. The guy wasn't really that mean about it, just frustrated. Called the cops to get an insurance report done up, which took at least about 30 minures just for them to show up, and once all was said and done, we'd been there about 2 HOURS!!! (good thing no one was hurt, right?)  All that really happened to my car was a scratch on the front and a small dent on the rear qp, plus some mud he had on his truck.

When the officers were finished, (it toook 2 of them, apparently) they hand us our information back and say: "Alright, since it's raining, y'all both have insurance, and no one was hurt, I'm not gonna issue any citations. You're free to go." That's honestly the first time I've been sincerily glad it was raining...

  3. Ehrmahgherd, I made thing!!!
    Ovrkill_frame_zps808534b4.jpg

And for any of you kids who don't know, that's an old Overkill frame. Which is still running overseas as Euro. Anyone want it? I probably won't use it again, so I'll I.m. it to anyone who wants it...

Edit: looks like blender can't take a decent picture. Tried the print screen button and nothing. Not sure why?

bits i circled look really messy. those need a desperate cleanup. Plus the proportions seem off, you got some strange edges going on, the bed is just a bunch of flat stuff, so throw some bevels in there. Plus the rest of the body looks really flat in spots, especially the front end. every surface needs some depth.

As for the paint, there's no real flow. the daimondplate just sort of stops, the AO bake on the white bits is just overbearing. Makes it look like film grain: the truck, rather than selling it as paint. Also i'm pretty sure real lights aren't just big bricks of solid colour. So model the stuff in there or something, iunno

Try setting the AO to multiply at about 75% to fix the grain, other than that, yeah. Needs work

To add, I believe the bed is supposed to reach over the top of the cab and the light-bar is supposed to be on top of the bed, not the truck cab. Also, adjust the hood. I can see the frame rails through it by the windshield.

and @ Nascar: Very interesting track, but how is the race course laid out? I have an idea of it, but I'd like to know for sure. Def. looking forward to the release so I can tear that track up!

And on a side note, Outrage is back in the shop once again. Now that I have RoR working on my laptop, then I figure it's high time I get that ol' devil finished up at long last. Now if I could only figure out why blender won't import...

  5. Copied from Team Scream's Facebook page:

    [*OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS*

Today, we are faced with the duty of announcing the retirement of Chris Bergeron as driver of Brutus.

Throughout the years, Chris has helped tremendously in making Team Scream what it is today. We thank Chris for his effort dedication to the team and we wish Chris and his family well for years to come. While Chris may no longer be driving Brutus, we’re sure he will have many more projects in the future, and he will always be a part of our team. While Chris’ retirement is our loss, it’s a well-deserved break away from the sport for him.

With that in mind, we would also like to announce some changes within the team. While Jim, Steve, and Brad will continue driving Avenger, Wrecking Crew and Mega-Bite respectively, we are pleased to announce that Spike Unleashed will return, with Jeff Anderson and newcomer Cory Rummel, sharing driving duties.

See you on the road, Team Scream fans!]

Sad to see him go, but after all the great runs he's had (successful or not), he probably deserves it. Anyone else think so?

By the way, sorry if there was already a topic about this. Saw it posted yesterday and wanted to share it.

  6. White dodge charger, crown Vic, or Tahoe. Any time I see a while vehicle like those, I slow down because it could be a cop. Then it turns out its just a teollololololol

That's funny because most of the cars I got into an accident with were white! I have a theory, too: my cars are always a filfthy mess, and white cars are dirt magnets. problem solved! (Somewhat...)

    Back on topic:

Anything with a blue oval on it

a "donk" (google it, be sure safe search is ON, or pingas galore)

    Double Decker bus

My old altima ( we had some great times babe, and you've been good to me over the years, but let's face it: you got nothing left. It's the only logical solution)

  7. Hey, we were all new once, we just may not like to talk about it. I sure as hell don't, and I'll let you guys interpret that however you see fit. ;)

Welcome to the boards, and don't let the old farts get to ya. after all, who doesn't love to pick on the freshmen? (bit of high-school humor)

  8. Sh*t looks great fellers, makin' me wish I had time to jump into Blender again, but the way life's been lately (Total B*tch, by the way) between work and my dad's Carpal Tunnel surgery going horribly wrong, well... You can probably imagine.

Bounty and Scarlet look good, but they have the same problem as every other truck that uses that sty of PEI:

FIX THE DAMN CHASSIS! You want the version before yours, the one FELD/LN used to use. Look at photos of the chassis and you'll see. The Shock Towers need to be an upside-down "V" shape, not whatever that is. Ya know what? It's just like the one on Outlawed's 1st truck in his  post on the last page. Other than that, I dig 'em. Not trying to cause trouble, it's just a pet peeve of mine. sort of the drive shaft loops not lining up way back when in MTM2. (Damned OCD, sue my ass I don't care. you won't get nothin' so why bother?)

Rock, you're killin' me here bro! These tracks look f*ckin' awesome but all I can do is drool over the pics until RoR gets tired of it's extended siesta. <_< But kudos to you, sir and well... You all know it so why bother? ;)

(Mods, censor that if you feel you need to. apologies if I offended anyone. Just  in one of those moods.)

  9. -with a 12 year olds voice-

"When you gonna release that Goldberg?"

    I can hear them already.

1: I didn't know Justin Beiber was a member here...

2: How many 12 year olds would know who Bill Goldberg is nowadays?

    3: Isn't the minimum sign-up age here 13, anyways?

  10. YouTube could be a safe bet considering we all go there anyway because none of us want to wait 4months for a show we could watch 3 days or sooner after it occurred plus all the repeats in the past few years got really really old to the point I don't even watch Monster Jam on TV. Plus they have already tested some types of live streaming recently so I wouldn't be surprised one bit to see it completely absent from network television simply because I think even the networks were getting tired of the same old crap and treating every fan like they know absolutely nothing and not trying to further educate them on certain matters. I know if it was my network I wouldn't be too happy airing repeats constantly because the editors for Monster Jam apparently do not have any sense of time and zero live shows.

I think it will be YouTube or none at all to be 100% honest...

However, that would alienate a decent percentile of their viewing audience who don't have access to or can't afford reliable high-speed internet, such as myself. Even though the broadcasts are mediocre at best, it's still making them some income. Knowing FELD, they'll milk it for everything it's got and then some, sadly.

Sports talk shows are becoming like golf corses.  You can't throw a rock without hitting one.  Everyone is looking at this as a negative but I see this as a positive.  If they go a season without being on TV it may force them to change their product up.  Racing has been boring for a long time and truthfully I really don't like the San Diego style tracks cause they only have one freaking obstacle.  I want to see giant hills and racing over busses more than Monster Trucks Drifting.  Freestyle could be amped up a bit too.  I want to see them get rid of the cookie cutter tracks and make some unique stuff.  This could be that needed drop in business that will bring some new ideas to light.

Hmmm, excellent comparison. I feel the same way about the racing programs. I usually don't even tune into those unless I know something good wil happen like a huge crash and if it's bad enough, they'll cut it from the program. (Captain's Curse, anyone?) I can endure freestyle much more easily than racing but even that gets boring with the "announcers" commentary. "I know what to call that move, uhm, oh yeah it already has a name! IT'S CALLED A ROLLOVER, YA DUMBASS!!! DAMN RIGHT, THAT'S NOT WHAT HE WANTED TO DO!!!" *ahem* sorry for the outburst.

And all I'm gonna say about the comment on track design: Watch what you wish for, we might end up with real life versions of those video game abominations with a pirate ship that's bigger than the stadium as the center-piece for the track.

  11. 2011 Silverado ext. cab: gut the bed and engine bay, install fiberglass baja-style fenders and a full tube chassis, move the engine to the bed, install pro race-spec EVERYTHING and throw a blown direct-injection V8 crate BEAST into the mix, jack it to the sky, slam some 44's under it, and you'd have a basic idea. Oh, and chrome. lotsa lotsa chrome. Maybe a nice metallic deep red or flat black scheme with some old-school pinstripe flames on it.

Either that or a 1998 Toyota Supra Turbo with pro race-spec everything. yeah...

  12. I'll toss a vote in for Mulisha as well, also awesome job on the tires and the body...I have one minor request though, can you include the .blend of it for those who wish to use it? B) I have a few ideas for it that could be pretty awesome if I actually finish them.

    ?

And I have no clue if that's gonna work or not. Photobucket's being an ass and won't let me copy the embed image codes for some reason.

  13. Ah, my bad then. I'm the least up to date on Ford of any of the manufacturers. Hell, I thought there was only one kind of Raptor in the first place. And now: Our regularly scheduled program. Thank you for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience

  14. Wish I could, to be honest. Then again, this is Missippii I'm talking about...

And seriously, no one caught my edited post on the last page!?!?!?

And guess who got a speeding ticket today? Yep, me...

  15. Cool. You kmow how to use the pen tool in Ps? That would be the easiest way I can think of. Just trace the outline of the chalk or re-create it as best as you can with the pen tool and then use the stroke path tool with the desired color and thickness and boom, there ya go. That's the best I can give from my I-Phone, but shoot me your AIM and I'll hit you up when I get home if you still need it. And Monster Jamer, the best I can think of is that the dip-sh*t who mapped the cape used only a small part of the cape texture, if they even used it, and just re-assigning the map to your texture will fix it. Other than that, all I can give from here is try good ol' trial and error. Like I said to Ice Cream, I can help more from home so if you'll shoot me an AIM address, I can help a lot more that way

If you don't want to wait, IC, try this. It's a tutorial that LF posted about the pen tool
