Blender Basics... but not for me

Okay, so since I'm on Spring Break I'm hunkering down and trying to make a truck.... but I ran into a wall before I started. I've added on several RoR and Ogre-Blender converters into the addon file but I can't get any of them to show up in the Add Ons list... anyone have a slight clue what I'm doing wrong?

You probably didn't install Blender using the installation directory... Once you do that, you can just go into your Program Files, navigate to the .blender folder and drop your scripts in that folder..

I downloaded the newest stable release through the main site and chose the installer instead of the zip... I'm not 100% sure if that's what you meant

If you downloaded the newest version of blender you may want to go back and download the 2.49 which the importers/exporters are for that you get off of the SM site.
