0 Tom P. Posted April 7, 2012 Share Posted April 7, 2012 You will be fine with the first laptop you posted. My Laptop was dirt cheap and runs Rigs of Rods fine. I didn't expect RoR to run on it in the first place, because when I got the laptop in late 09, I didn't plan on running games, but to my surprise, it ran RoR perfectly. 0 Bobamatic Posted April 7, 2012 Share Posted April 7, 2012 Laptops aren't bad but you get more bang for your buck with a desktop, The only thing I would look out for is read reviews and make sure people aren't complaining about the laptop having issues with heating up real bad. Newegg is a good place to find lots of reviews. Mine has heating issues and I get maybe 15 to 20 minutes of playing ROR on mine before I have to stop playing and let it cool down. My fan blows directly out of the bottom and is a pain to play without covering up the fan with my leg. If the fan blew out the side on mine like most do now I probably wouldn't have any issues.
