  1. Completely random and off topic. . .but i can't resist. Lookey2000, isn't Ryan Anderson. . .The Ryan Anderson of ROR? Just saying.
  2. Coconutmen, I actually can't wait for you to finish that Jonesboro track. I was at that show, one of the best show weekends i've ever had really.
  3. Welcome back to the Darkside Mr. Collard, good to see you.
  4. Really like that Hot Wheels PC. Great job on it. Also, great job to Kozak on that sexy chassis under it.
  5. Thats an easy one. The 1998 Daytona 500.
  6. Lucky Number 13! Show em' if you've got em!
  7. HPI Is far superior. Don't belive me? Just test a set of Traxxas shocks, then try a set of HPI's.
  8. Quite the opposite. I love the Wheelie King trucks. I actually had one before i built up my clods. They are fun trucks to mess around with. Yes, you can beat the living snot out of a traxxas vehicle. Go to an off road RC race though and see how many of them are actually racing though. Traxxas stuff is basically beginner gear. The absolute main reason i hate Traxxas though is the fact that basically stole the idea of Short Course trucks from Thundertech. Thundertech came out with a two wheel drive short course kit truck. It was debuted at IHobby the first year i went. The guys from Traxxas, along with people from HPi, etc all test drove those trucks. Then the next year, all of a sudden Traxxas comes out with the Slash RTR and all the people that were going to invest in Thundertech's truck backed out. Its inevitable they would have people come out with their own version of the truck, however because of what the people at Traxxas did it basically bankrupted Thundertech, who also happen to supply some of the best quality clod parts available. The people at Traxxas aren't stupid either. They saw how popular the Monster Truck portion of the IHobby shows were and once they got the License to produce Monster Jam truck bodies, they jumped at the chance. The problem i have with them though, is that with all the money backing them they still can't even attempt to make a solid axle Monster Truck. Why? HPI Did it, and did it well with the 12th scale Wheelie King. I thnk instead they'd rather put all their money behind a car that can go 100mph that only rich people can afford, instead of putting the work into a Monster Truck that would cost about a third of that if they built it right.
  9. Congratulations to Mark Colineri on winning his second consecutive KOTH Racing Event and taking home the "Bragging Rights!" Mark defeated Backdraft, Grave Digger, Batman, and finally Captain America! This certainly was a fun experiment and provided some interesting racing throughout the night! A shoutout as well goes to Chris Hamilton. He was certainly an underdog in the racing bracket tonight and actually worked his way to the semi-finals. He defeated Mark in the semi-finals, but per KOTH rules rolling hard after the finishline bit him. Freestyle was interesting to say the least. Several drivers popped up with scores above 25 but it was Mike Elmendorf, one of ROR Monster Truck Racing's pioneers coming away with his first freestyle victory in a long time. Congratulations to Mike, that one was a long time coming.

  12. I'm a goof, forgot about the NASCAR race tomorrow night. So I've pushed this back to Sunday night.
  13. King of the Hill returns with Sunday Night Showdown in Orlando Florida! Sunday Night Showdown will not be a normal KOTH event, as trucks will not be running for points. Sunday night trucks will be running for Bragging Rights only in a knock down drag out war of the monster trucks! We will be having a normal 12 to 16 truck field(depending on the # of signups we receive.) Racing will be entitled "Bragging Rights!" 6 to 8 drivers will be chosen at random and will be able to select from the list of non-selected drivers to determine their Round 1 opponent! This process will continue all the way down to the Semi-Final round until we've reached the final 2 drivers. The winner will receive KOTH Bragging Rights and will be able to select the spot they wish to go in Freestyle. When is this? SUNDAY NIGHT! Chat opens: 7est/6cst time Racing starts: 7:30est/6:30cst Track: http://sim-monsters....8-orlando-2010/ Signups: Josh Rhodes, Excaliber Matt Wilkinson, Blue Thunder Devin Doss, Black Stallion Chris Hamilton, Batman Michael DesRoaches, Grave Digger Danny Mackey, Shock Therapy Tom Papacio, Brutus Mark Colineri, Bounty Hunter Trevor Amos, Iron Warrior Nicholas Kozak, Bigfoot Joshua Micks, El Toro Loco Andrew Marsh, Backdraft Malke Middleton, Superman Edy Beltran, Ironman Justin Yurface, Predator Tharindu Doncer, Iron Outlaw That is your field of 16 trucks for tonights event. 14. Both those events contributed to the failure of the obstacle courses.
  15. Heres one of my failed experiments: If you remember this, then you remember some of the very first KOTH events where we had the obstacle course challenges. The photo is an example of course, of how i used to describe how to run these courses. About 60% of everybody that ran them, ran them right, the other 40% was so confused or laggy that they either flipped, went the wrong direction, or were just extremely slow, lol. The original Black Avenger i painted for the first RORMJ Pack. Never really liked it. Thats about it from me, haha.
  16. Looks great Tom! Can't wait to run that for King of the Hill.
