King of the Hill: Summer Heat will start the first weekend of May (Friday the 6th). This will be a mini-series that will revisit some of the best tracks that have been ran in the KOTH Series and will crown one champion. All the normal KOTH rules will apply for every single event, however instead of the normal 16 truck feild for each event we will be taking only the 12 fastest trucks, and qualifying will not count for points. Only TQ will recieve a bonus point. The final event will only feature the top 10 drivers in the standings. Also, be careful of your truck selection. This will be like any other league, the truck you pick will be the truck you run with the entire series. Keep in mind your truck must be RELEASED to the public, and must WORK for officials of the series for it to be eligible to compete. NOTE: MODS MAY SIGN UP AT ANYTIME BEFORE THE ACTUAL SIGNUPS START AT 5PM CST TIME TOMORROW! The key words in this mini-series being ONE CHAMPION. There won't be a racing champion, there won't been a freestyle champion. Those combined scores from both racing and freestyle will determine one overall champion for the series. GREAT WIN DIG! Oh thanks. Haha. Honestly that was probably one of the most fun last 12 laps i've ever had racing in that game. Once i figured out how to run the top groove, i was a rocket. Looking back at the replay, coming to the white flag i was sideways in turn 3 i think with the tires smoking and still came from 4th to win the thing. It was going to come down to Me, Jordo, Auz, and Roach. Sucks that the 15 got into the 39 but hey guys, thats racin'. I still think with the momentum i had before i had to dodge the wreck, i mighta pulled off either the win or a very close 2nd. Seriously though, that was a fun race, and it was awesome to pull that one out of the hat. Great job all night guys and i can't wait to run again.

Seems like everytime i turn around anymore i get messages with people wanting to know how to get an RC truck like my 3 racers. Well, be prepared when you read this because your wallet will have a heart attack once you see how much you have to put into building a BRAND NEW truck. I'm not doing this to scare anybody away from the hobby, i'm just showing you how expensive a clod racer is when you start from the ground up. CPE Terminator Carbon Fiber Race Chassis: $250, Thats the kit that comes with everything you need to turn the truck into a complete racer. This is also the chassis with the most championships under its belt. 6 out of the top 10 trucks in the Illinois series this year were CPE Terminators. you can go a cheaper route with the aluminum chassis, however the Carbon Fiber chassis handles MUCH better. Castle Creations 4600kv Brushless Motor/ESC Combo: When i bought my first set they were $117 a peice. Now their down to about $88 dollars for this combo setup. You will need two ESC's and two motors, you'll have to Y harness the ESC's together to get this to work properly. Its much easier than it sounds, but these motors and ESC's are easily the best for the clods. These are sensorless, most of the others are sensored and most of the time allow the front tires to start spinning before the rears kick in. Tires: IMEX Road Dawgs or IMEX Baja's are the way to go, however they do require some shaving down if you plan on racing them. Its somewhere around $60 for a set of 4 tires. If your racing, go with the Road Dawgs. Baja's, i've never run, but i really don't care for the look of them. Axle Kit: $73 dollars brand new for ONE, and you need two. Steering Servo: 68 to 95 dollars for a GOOD servo. There are ones that are cheaper, but i don't like them, much slower than the titanium geared ones i have. Rims: White clod rims are hard to find, but they mostly run 70 for a set of 4. Chrome clod rims run 60 for a set of 4. Raidio/Reciever: $320 dollars is what i paid for my expensive Airtronics M11 radio/reciever setup that i run with my main racer(Excaliber.) However there are cheaper alternitives like Traxxas's radio setups which can run around 40 bucks. Wheel Wideners: Yes, you need these, otherwise you will have HORRIBLE steering. Instructions come with CPE's clod wheel wideners kit on how to drill out your rims to make these work. Their around 25 bucks. Shocks: Alot of shock choices but my favorites have been the front shocks from the traxxas slash. their smaller, and with the way the terminator is designed they allow for a lower center of gravity. 25 bucks or so for two, 50 for all 4. Their kind of hard to find. Like i said there are PLENTY of other choices out there. All in all your looking at well over 800 dollars for a full setup for a BRAND NEW truck. My recommendation would be to look around on e-bay for someone selling a clod and start from there. Every once in awhile a truck will pop up on there that is exactly like what i run. Used trucks can go from 325 to 500. A cheaper route, but make sure the seller is trusted and the truck looks to be in great working order. Hope that helps guys, and if you can't afford a real racer like what i have: Theirs always those Peice of crap traxxas MJ trucks .

Was a fun race, glad i made it afterall. 1 caution (Comp Caution) to. Everybody ran great, just to bad Ryan snuckered me going into turn 3 before the white But hey, i've done it to him many times to. Good win Ryan, earned it.

Bought this yesterday for the PS3 (add me if you want, JoshDIGRhodes.) and honestly its not as bad as some of the reviews i read for it. There are a few glitches i hate, like basically having to wreck the whole feild to get a caution(dispite hearing the crew chief in my ear telling me "Watch out here, debris on the track, might have a caution" or something like that.) I really hate that you have to unlock paint schemes as well for custom cars, can't stand that, and from what i've seen you can't even put the Chevy/Ford/Dodge/Toyota decals on the cars until you unlock the paint schemes. Its weird to me that the old points system is in there as well, it honestly seems like the game is already a year out of date lol. However this is a decent game and a good start towards a hopefully eventual comeback for the NASCAR Console games. Those are just some random thoughts.

I'd change it up a bit to Jack. Instad of the giant Austin 3:16 logo i'd put the old "Hell Raiser" logo Austin used to have on there and make the Austin 3:16 smaller. Something like this

Thank you all for the comments. I worked very hard on thinking of what i could ask Dennis that hasn't been asked before and i'm very proud of the end result. I spent about 20 minutes talking to one of my Idles, doesn't get much better than that. Also, when i typed that question out about the crossover drivers. I KNEW Dennis was going to say Tanner, due to the fact he rode around a course with Tanner for the Speed Dreamride. I also asked Dennis if he thought that ride was better than riding along in a NASCAR and he said by far it was better.
