Honestly, I approve of this new rule......mostly. On one hand, I'm very thankful it eliminates the possibility of a one-hit wonder winning Freestyle, as that near-occurrence with the run you mentioned sparked a lot of controversy, and FELD needed to ensure that doesn't happen again. On the other hand, I think 30 seconds might be a little much. I heard they made the rule 15 seconds in Arenas, which I feel is a perfect amount of time. In a stadium case, someone could have a good run going....and crash at around 25 seconds and get a 0 as a result.

There also comes one major question; does a driver get no points for Freestyle if they get a 0 in their run? If so, then that's where I draw the line, because that's definitely going too far.

I know its to late for the rule to be changed but a solution to your concerns could be dividing the score by 2 if the run doesn't last at least 30 seconds. That way trucks still get points towards the series and it becomes almost impossible for a one-hit wonder to win.

  2. I've been playing around with Linux Mint and got ROR to run. I changed the input map and all of the buttons (a,b,x,y,etc) work as expected but the joysticks don't work at all. Pressing the joystick works, since that is just another button. The joysticks work fine when playing games through steam so its not the controller or drivers. I'm thinking i'm not typing in the write command for ROR to see stick input. I pasted the relevant section of the input map below. Any suggestions are welcome.

    TRUCK_STEER_LEFT               JoystickAxis         0 1 LOWER
    TRUCK_STEER_RIGHT              JoystickAxis       0 1 UPPER

I've tried changing the 1 to 0,2,and 3 but nothing works

Colton easily could've cleared 10. Kind of a lame encore though. Needed more substance other than the one jump. Fire and Ice encore was just a recycled Double Down Showdown/ Thursday encore we'dvs seen too many times. Donuts, a few jumps, then flips.

Grave Digger seems to be the only truck that can put on a good encore. Other than WF13 and WF18 when have we had a good encore?

Ok if anyone has some good obstacle ideas, PM me. I had a real good design on this track and somehow while designing he racing lanes, it all disappeared. Its anaheim style btw. (dont mind getting rid of the double bus stack. seems ot of place anyway)

If you're sticking with the traditional Anaheim layout try setting up a jammer to jump onto/over the table top. Similar to the launch ramp they used in stadiums this past season.

I didn't think Ryan's run was that great. Admittedly, it's the only run I've seen so far, so I can't compare it to the others, so it may well have been the best run tonight for all I know. Personally, I though almost all the "Wow" factors came after the clock hit 0. But like I said, I haven't seen the rest of the runs so I'll need to see them before I can form an opinion on if it were win worthy or not. Also I usually set way too high of expectations for freestyle, so that probably has an influence on my opinion too.

Watched the facebook stream and even disregarding the WOW factor after time was up, Ryan had the best run.
