If Nicole actually LANDED that starting move in WF XVI, you could tell she was about to go for a run that was as good as El Paso's.

Nicole isn't the best driver out there, but that jump was way to steep as Avenger and Crusader proved later that night. 

I will put my money on metal mechanical ramps.  When Bill Goldberg had Tom on his podcast recently he asked what the next step in Monster Jam is and Tom's response was he things in the next few years we will see metal and mechanical ramps. 

great idea, hard metal ramps and backflips, what could possibly go wrong.

It will be special if the ramps aren't 90 degrees.

What about Scooby Doo, she had a bathroom break worthy run this year.

Complain about Feld all you want, they are the only promoter that puts on such a high level show every weekend. 

I completely agree with this. There is absolutely no reason to limit the scoring the way they do. Although, I do think I tenth of a point is a bit extensive. I think 1-100, with 1/2 point increments would do the trick, but anyway of giving the judges more "space" sounds good to me. 

 

Also, increasing the amount of judges would definitely help to more accurately decide the winner. Mathematically, the more people's opinion you have (as long as they know something about what they're talking about) the better chance you have of getting making right decision. I would have 9 judges, throw out the 2 highest and the 2 lowest scores and get a total score out of 500. (If they were to do more judges then that, that would be even better)

I just edited my previous post, 1-50 and average the scores. So if a truck gets; 31,29,35,30,30,33 the scores would average out to 31.3. Having a max score of 500 would be strange, then again its the same as my system, just move the decimal

I've heard around that Mikey actually gave his trophy to 2 of the judges sons, I just heard this around IDK if this if true, but if it is, No wonder. They gave Ryan, both, a 6.5. Heck Bill gave Adam a 6 for his huge air assault and awesome save. And they both gave Charlie Pauken a 6. IDK. I don't understand MJ anymore.

The 1-10 system is very limiting, no judge in there right mind would give more than an 8.5 or 9, unless it was the very last truck. Instead a 1-50 scale and average of 6 scores should be used with a tenth of a point being the smallest increment. With that system we would see higher scores and less ties in the 24-26 score range.

After watching all the runs I learned backflips were over scored, Adam had an incredible run, In order to for the track not to bite, you had to huge, and some of the ramps were to steep.

As for the runs being under scored, i disagree. The scoring system of 6 judges 1-10 is very limiting, a better system would be 6 judges 1-40 or 50 and average the scores.

Looking at clips on instgram, the jumps by the turn for racing were really steep. I thought they had learned

Hopefully they fix the ramps, if they're all that steep tomorrow there will be a lot of short runs and broken four links.

I know BKT is the big sponsor and it makes sense they would run them, but im curious, what happened to the square Ukraine tires everybody was making a big deal about?

As long as the leave the middle of the track empty, and only have a cross piece at the very end of the track it will be a good show.
