Who is driving doomsday? Also who drove last year?

I don't think Steve Sims has gotten any worse. I think its similar to what people were saying about Dennis the last few seasons, the young guys have stepped it up a lot. The sport has evolved a lot since sims was first invited to Vegas.

I think a similar thread was created last year and my answer remains the same. Right here right now is the best time to be a monster truck fan. The trucks go bigger, faster, and crazier than ever before. They have fixed the problems with the dirt ramps, and now the track doesn't degrade during the freestyle competition. Monster Jam is now more competitive and better financed than ever before and we see the benefits of it every weekend.

Toddler had a great run, gave max d a little tap at the end. You can see Neil smiling, he knows his run was just beat. 

Ryan's run last night was awesome. This reminds me of San Diego last year.

Captain's Curse at the World Finals and now they have dumpsters there. The dumpsters stopped Titan and Avenger.

Anybody know what the Anaheim track looks like?

That's stupid to have a job blocked off until bonus. I hope it is not that. The jumps still look way to steep, the only decent looking jump is the center one.

Was watching Monster Jam 2016 season preview and Tom is working on some new stunt for vegas. From the little bit of footage they showed it looks like he might be trying a double frontflip. Anybody have more details about this?

No, I doubt he would retire this year. I'm guessing he's gonna go all out for 35th anniversary and announce retirement at world finals 18.

Watched the whole thing, that was really cool. Jim is an awesome guy.

Monster Jam is slowing becoming ROR, I'm sure most of use have pulled of saves in reverse.

For as much as all of us on here complain about the world finals, what NitroMenace said is 100% true.

Is it the concrete or are the shocks set really stiff because the truck bounced on almost every hit.

Dennis,  I want to see him double down before he retires. 

 

Dennis said his contract will be up in 2017 and honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if that is his final season. I think Digger 30 is the final incarnation to keep Dennis up to today's trucks and look don't get me wrong he's not doing bad by any means, but his sons have been outshining him statistically for the last few years. 

2017 would be the 35th anniversary, so it would make sense to end his career with a huge anniversary season. I don't think he'll just leave, I wouldn't be surprised to see him sub for sick and/or injured drivers and even encore at the world finals.  

I agree at times it is ridiculous how long they let trucks go. However there is a fine line between being trigger happy and letting the drivers floor it. Here are 2 examples:

The reason motorcycles can do this is because the rider can adjust themselves mid flight.

Why does everybody focus on Nicole? What about Candice Jolly, she is a much better driver. My guess is that she doesn't need justification for being at the world finals.
