it does look ungrateful no matter how you look at it.

I'm sorry, but these people are doing a job for money, it's business. There is no grateful or ungrateful. They don't care what anybody here thinks unless they made an MJ purchase.

I thought it was a great show this year! Made my weekend.

The tire that came off of Eichelberger's Max D looked like a close call too, if it cleared the wall that would have been trouble.

  2. Here is the YGS + Encore courtesy "jshlacoste06" of YouTube.

There is also a good video of qualifying (YGS and main field), but I didn't want to post that one it's 30 minutes. Really good seats for film in that one.

It's called "Monster Jam World Finals 17 Qualifying" under the YouTube account "MonsterJamLord".

  3. Preachin to the choir over here ARF. I had the exact same rant a couple months ago on the Silly Season thread.

I think it's ridiculous too, track layout is almost the exact same for every venue. If they're so dead set on the ramp-only trend, they should AT LEAST draw up more than 2 track designs with them. There is plenty that could be done, not sure why they haven't made any changes.

Arena tracks had more variety than stadiums this year lol kidding.

I am still optimistic that WF freestyle will be more the way it should be. Hopefully they snap out of it soon, so we can see some variety.

Both Jimmy's have great looking schemes this year, I think they suit both drivers.

Thanks everybody posting the pictures and info, makes me feel all warmwarm fuzzfuzz to have plenty of WF updates to look at when I get home.

    Predictions anyone? I'm gona say:

    Rosalee Ramer - YGS

    Lindsey Weenk - Racing

    Neil Elliott - Freestyle

somebody told me that blacksmith might make a return because it was in the new yearbook, if this happens that would be awsome because thats one of my favorite trucks

There are already several pinned topics covering relevant, recent MT news. Do yourself and the community here a favour and get a little more familiar with the website before you ask every question you can think of.

People work and pay to keep this place going, it's disrespectful when you create unnecessary topics, which take up space on the site.

It will also decrease your chances of having any future questions answered, current members don't like it.

You're really making yourself quite annoying already. Nevermind you put "deez nuts" as your location already makes me wretch

    Yes, annoying.

But, you're location is "The Bone Zone". Don't get me wrong, I just thought it was funny.

That being said, MJwank16 and MJwank1 are irritating. Also, that guy that keeps posting trucks that just have the tires swapped.

You, CH, are not annoying and have never bugged me before.

  5. Really wish they would let Pauken just drive his own truck for more than one year.

Hope they don't throw more drivers into new trucks just for the finals, bit of a bogus deal if you ask me.

I was happy that they had all drivers in the finals last year in the same trucks they made it there in. I could be wrong, but I think that was the case at WF16.

Idk about you guys, but so far into the toughest MT tour, they're like MJ right now with the track designs. So far they've been using the same exact track designs all year. Monster X is basically doing the same thing except they switch it up every weekend. I mean, is it that hard to come up with different designs? Because Both FELD and Independents tours both had plenty of time to come up with different designs. At least during the off-season for God sakes!

Agreed. MJ barely even changes the layout of the ramps from one stadium to the next, it's difficult to ignore. They need to change it up a bit like many of the layouts we saw in the 2009-2012 year range (someone mentioned this year rangeas well in the last few pages). Some of the best ever shows came on some more unique tracks. See San Antonio 2011 and San Diego 2009.

I'll play devil's advocate: The amount of dirt and crush cars used is expensive, and for many venues they're in tiny arenas so if they have a design that can deliver a good show then more the merrier. I still believe the stadium track design this year sucks massive donkey balls.

I don't see any reason why they couldn't use the same amount of time, cars, vans, buses, dirt that they are currently to construct some more varied layouts. I'm sure a number of us around here could sketch up some pretty sweet blueprints with MJ materials.

Charlotte and World Finals are layouts that I look forward to ever year, simply because they're unique and far better than what we usually see.

  7. I've always really enjoyed your previous "CMRC" style trucks Taurus, this new batch looks beauty!

'Course you still got it MJF. Those CWFs tracks you make are some of my favourites, good to see you crackin away on stuff again (y)

Fern is getting going again and I like it, great work bud.

And Edy, puttin work out like hot cakes, keep er goin.

Also, shout outs to Zach and Infra for all the quick 0.4 conversions! (despite constant nagging)

Big thanks to all above, breathing some life back into to this place it's great to see.

Here's some repli-customs I have fun slapping together, not my work in any respect:

  8. That Tacoma accident was awful, poor family. Sorry to bring the downer to the topic here, I was just curious.

Thanks for the quick and accurate info TTG.

Anybody know the story with the BKTs being so shiny? Are they delivered all shined up or do the MT teams just have to use barrels upon barrels of tire dressing for displays?

I know tire shine has been used on MT's occasionally over the years for pre-show and stuff, but the BKTs it's on the whole tire, tread and all. It's a dumb question, but I'm curious.
