Thank you for going ahead with this Dave, can't wait!
Nice to see another familiar name around again.
-
You know the driver is going to get way over the "dark horse" rank very quickly if his name is Tony, which is considered a tough guy name.
Brother that is baseless, stop hatin'

One of the best monster truck productions I've ever seen. I'd have that over MJ all day.
Wish Jim Koehler was my boss, he's such a beauty lol
Thanks for posting MC, I really enjoyed watching this when I got home from work earlier.
-
Yea sure I can, as long as it they are approved by the website and O.G. authors.
Here is a few more:

I am getting better acquainted with prop placement lately. I enjoy putting trucks together with all these purdy parts and pieces (credit to all original designers/builders, of course)

Really enjoy your video creations HM, keep up the good work!

I wish they started to go away with the overt he top ridiculous looking 3D bodies and put the effort into a new stock truck body style.
Agreed.
It's a strange business move. Aren't the 3D bodies insanely more valuable than Fiber Pickups/SUVs? Expensive to repair/replace?
You would think that would add up to more of a loss on maintenance/replacements than a gain on the marketing end of thing.
I liked it when Bulldozer and Samson were the closest things to 3D bodys lol
-
Yea, very well-informed writer there.
Lol. The bad stuff has stayed the same for years, that's for sure.
On the bright side, there seems to be more of a light at the end of the tunnel, we are seeing the game start to naturally interact with the real event more and more these days:
"The physics are very convincing, and many Monster Jam drivers quietly praise RoR for its accuracy; some using it as a way to brush up on their skills during off-weeks and their driving styles have noticeably changed because of it. These trucks are a handful, and it’s no wonder why some ex-motocross stars such as Damon Bradshaw, and CORR drivers like Todd LeDuc are starting to cross over into the Monster Truck world. The events may be celebrations of destruction and promote what all other racing series hate, but there’s no denying that these trucks take talent to drive on the limit, and the Sim-Monsters trucks faithfully recreate that experience."

I came across this article today. It discusses a brief history and the current state of Monster Truck racing and video gaming. It is extremely well written and very refreshing. Take 5 minutes and read it all if you have a chance.

Thanks,

And most of all I'm excited to bring some news we may have coming out of both TK Motorsports(Nitro/Freedom) as well as 2Xtreme racing.. You'll find out soon enough
I'm intrigued ...
Just ease up on the gas pedal, look around and read a bit. Alot of this stuff has been covered already by people that are in the "know'.
Well put. Just learn TRS, these boys know everything. If you're interested real Monster Truck information at all, don't poke the bear(s).
Anybody know anything about the lineup for January Toronto monster jam?
-
I will be in Toronto for both Saturday and Sunday shows this year (January 2016).
I really hope Metal Mulisha team comes up this time. Really want to see Leduc live.
The lineup seems to get more and more solid n T.O every year, haven't been since 2012 so I am pumped!!
Any other Canucks heading to the Skydome this year? (I refuse to call the stadium by its new name)
-
They are way easier when you get the how to! I promisse i'll make a tutorial on stadium modeling! and also track making! when i get time this weekend!
That would be amazing. I have a handle on building a track in blender, but I'm hitting quite a few snags trying to get it textured efficiently.
That track looks fantastic, you're a fast builder. That thing has been coming together quickly, top notch!
-
Man, tough crowd ...
I did a test download and it worked, the screenshot did appear.
Nice work on this, can't be easy. Very little downtime as well.
Thanks!

Really nice Coco! Those ramp models are all so smooth on every edge, awesome.

this isn't really about the game, it's more about the community surrounding it

Always nice to see someone put together a body we don't have on a monster truck yet.
Good stuff Cam and rockgod!
-
Dont know you, but three words for you.
It's. A. Game.
P.S. I did bother to read your entire rant.

I was able to start putting a track together in Blender.
Never thought I would get this far in the process lol:

Yes that is where it is located on my computer. It is installed/situated properly to the best of my knowledge.
Just can't seem to get Blender to realize that it is, indeed, there. I have re-installed, made certain that I have the proper version of Python to match Blender 2.49b, and gone through the read-me for Python.
Any chance I would have to locate the Python directory manually for Blender?
-
I have done everything that I can here and I can't figure it out. I have installed Python to the best of my knowledge, but Blender (v2.49b) will not recognize that Python (v2.6) is installed. Here is what I see:
What is the the proper way to install Python?

Oh, my mistake. Sorry about that FB. Credit where credit is due.
I thought Demko had a good suggestion, painted up the Superman cape and continued making small changes:
^Original Body: Toyota Let's Go Places^
I am just going to continue painting because I enjoy it. If anybody wants to map my schemes to their respective bodies, feel free. Get in touch through PM if you're interested. I would love to see TGB get finished, I know I am not the only Trailer Park Boys fan on here lol.
-
Nice! Been hoping someone would make the shocker-style rims.
-
Wow nice chassis FB! Unique and high quality as usual TR13.
Tweaking these bit-by-bit and getting used to painting again
