Thanks. I just saw your review. When I started this project I analyzed a lot of trucks from other builders and I noticed it was common to find a ton of extra unnecessary verts and textures. So I spent a lot of time making sure there were no unnecessary verts or textures, which was not too difficult considering everything was made from scratch. The vert count for all three trucks combined is probably less than one modern replica truck typically found here (my trucks are not as detailed though).

Very clean & accurate work. During MTM2's heyday, this was a much desired replica that a few of us built; it's nice to revisit it with such great detail and better physics. The crushable cars make driving much more enjoyable as well.

I can't get the tracks to work on 0.4.5.1, the trucks work fine.
The tracks are only compatible with versions .37-39.7 (for now).

Thanks all, I'm glad everyone is enjoying it! Feel free to post your lap times!

Yes, but what folder would I have to place it in??
Unzip the ZIP files from the main one (POWERTRAX Beta 0001 - 2016-05-12.zip), but I would advise to keep them in the zips. If you do decide to extract them to a folder, DO NOT put everything in one folder as certain files might be overwritten!
Place them where you would your normal trucks and tracks, or make a POWERTRAX folder. It's up to you.

Sorry, I forgot to add this info! For now, the tracks are compatible with versions .37-39.X, although the trucks will work on .45 as well. In the future, the entire series will work with .37 and up.

I've figured out what's causing the non-collidable junk cars. In the RoR config, on the "Advanced" tab, make sure you don't have the box checked next to "Disable inter-vehicle collisions."
Thank you! Worked like a charm.

I'm honestly not sure. I haven't seen any instances in which the cars become non-collidable.
As for the lighting, I think it may be caused by the shadow options. It appears that if the "Shadow type" in the RoR config is set to "Texture shadows" or "Parallel-split Shadow Maps," the stadium model casts a shadow over the entire track, causing the darkened appearance.
Thanks, that took care of the darkness issue (haven't experienced this with other stadium tracks, I wonder why it happens with yours?).
The cars are still non-collidable, unfortunately. Is anyone else having this issue?

For me, the crushable cars are non-collidable and the lighting inside of the stadium is really dark. Any idea why?

Very nice work. Crushing the cars until nothing is left is a blast!

That's how Jim rolls.
Interesting. Any idea why?

Very nice -- incredible amount of detail in the models. Runs perfectly fine on my computer (which is nothing special). As someone said before, the wheels do break easily but you have to do it in a specific way and it's not so much of an issue to me. The thing I noticed is how slow they are (55 MPH max) -- is there a reason for this? And are real MT brakes really that powerful?
Edit: I just saw the .38 warning. I am using .38 -- is this why they are so slow? Otherwise they seem to handle normally.
-
Am I just tired or is the tire tread facing the wrong direction?

This is a very nice looking truck, but I think the handling is unrealistic. The acceleration, speed, and being nearly impossible to roll make it too perfect, giving it a very arcade-like feel.

Incredible work. I wish more trucks were this detailed.
