  1. so after taking maxdmans advice I decided to do a test and tune on my track and well It needed it, overall though after improvements and fixes im left with a track ready to be put in a stadium, just with i had more but what I got will work....

some progression photos of racing, two wheel and the (almost perfect) mini-flip ramp! (the black spots are old locations of obstacles as you can see I had to push them back a bit)

Looks really good so far.  I echo what Chris said.  Export with a basic texture on the entire track and just drive around for a bit hitting all jumps at different speeds and angles and take note of what ramps need adjusting, then make the adjustment in Blender and re-export and repeat until you're 100% happy.

Glad to see some really good stuff on here still.

Does that mean I can retire form content creation?

Also double post but I’m not sure how to double reply, you can retire once some more assets are on the site 😂 jk but on a side note my blender doesn’t let me import tracks... or stadiums or models and I love detail but I simply don’t have any of the newer models... only what’s been released to download

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! That looks really good! Makes me happy when others are putting so much detail into their tracks. Literally zero critiques from me. Just be sure to adjust as required after the initial export, because trust me, some ramps might seem fine in blender, but in game they're wonky af. That always happens to me lol

Now you just gotta get the texturing right and you're golden. Think the best way for that would be to first do it yourself, then show it off once more and get some feedback. Biggest advice I can give is to be yourself. Sure you can take inspiration from other creators, but it's so much more interesting and rewarding when a creator really implements their own style. Hell, use some of the new cars, find some new textures off google, what ever you think would look best. (insert thumbs up emoji)

Thanks, conveniently enough I learned how to better texture my tracks from you, so this should be one of my best, the new cars I would use but I got no idea how to do those special collisions he mentioned in the post...

I also kinda agree because im starting to get back into it as my 3rd year of college is super easy, but so much stuff has changed i just don't know where to begin. I have some cool ideas but just something is holding me back. There is some nice content being created on this site tho

I even tried to try to create some beamng tracks and no one over there is willing to help so i tossed that idea out the water.

about beam, same lol. Now in ror I would love to make more stuff but honestly there not enough updated resources or props, and I still cant get help with ripping models from other tracks... so that leaves me to use the same stuff over and over and that gets boring.

I've always wanted to stream or make episodes of how I make a track start to finish to give the community another tutorial and hopefully inspire others.  Time and hardware limitations always prevented me.  I've recently switches systems so I've been wanting to go back to my old computer with literally everything RoR related and clean it out to make it more possible to screen record while in Blender/stream content creation.

I do agree that there has been a significant decrease of content put out and overall activity on the site.  Could blame other social media to get information on the industry, or just a large portion of the fan base growing older and moving on/not having time to create and post.  I 100% fall into that group, but still enjoy creating and pumping things out, I just simply don't have the time like I used to.

well said, I feel like personally ive just hit a brick wall with track creation. Like I know how to make decent tracks, and well preforming tracks. however the lack of tutorials especially from a content creator like you rlly bars me from furthering my knowledge, not to mention college....

Any suggestions on making the blue paint pop more?  Using paint.net and the overlay function.  Any help would be appreciated.

I would try overlaying it, than reducing the opacity of the overlayed layer, but that definitely isnt the prettiest way to do it... you could also try using different effects other than overlay I usually run through diff effects until I find one that makes the color stand out the way I want it too.

I think I asked a similar question like this last year. I think there's a plug-in somewhere where you can import an entire stadium with all of the textures ready (since the current importer can't do more than 16 materials). If anyone has the plug-in/shortcut, then I'd like the link to the plug-in/know the shortcut as well

    yeah that would be nice....

  8. Ok so this is a weird question because iv'e been making tracks for abt a year now. There's one thing though that I cant seem to get. That's importing stadiums from other tracks. (ie: Tampa) I can do the whole mesh and get it into blender but I don't know what to do from there. because there's no way I wanna go through and separate and find all the diff textures. If there's a shortcut please let me know below, or pm me. thanks!
