I remember it well, I had videotaped it and just kept watching it all day every day. I remember the late, great Dave Harkey doing a demonstration on the track too.

and ethan, no IM's this time
lulz
This is definitely the most I've looked forward to a KOTH. Can't wait to see the remade track. Nice to see you around too, David

This is getting a tad offtopic, so here we go:
Completely reworking Chicago

srry to b annoyin but it is ur project or was
Oh, it is still my project... progress has been slow due to recent college work but SVS 2.0 is still alive
To be fair, the current SVS is not uploaded to Sim Monsters (2.0 will be), so it's fair for someone to ask where to get it. But this is not the thread to do it in
thanks ethan
No problem. Enjoy

can any one plz give me the link to svs
Here:

Just saying though, this isn't the right thread to ask something like that. It's called "show your projects" for a reason.

no i mean what program do u use
Go download Google Sketchup 8 and Rigs of Rods toolkit. Everything is linked to in my "Exporting Sketchup objects" tutorial. Once you have Sketchup, just mess about in it and you will soon learn your way around

Wow stafford looks really good, only thing I would suggest is painting lines on the edges of the dirt jumps, it is really hard to distinguish where they are
Agreed
Having tested this track, I can safely say it's your best work yet Tom. Really good stuff.

REGARDING MUSIC: If you are in a custom truck, and you want a song played. I would like to have it for tomorrow night. I would prefer if you had it on your computer in a .mp3 format, which would make it easier on me. If you do, please IM me on aim at motox2202006. But if you are in a Monster Jam Truck. I will be playing the themes that i have already
You already got it. In fact I discovered it from you

Demko it IS on topic and we were simply having a small discussion. No harm no foul
Agreed. I just asked for some feedback and opinions on a project, and it led to some really good discussion. Thanks for the feedback guys

I could use some opinions here. I've been tinkering with Chicago and I've made it a lot grippier, like the New Orleans/Atlanta tracks. Personally I find it a lot better for freestyle but I wanted to see what you all thought. Download these files, drag them into the track zip and let me know what you think

Ha, i knew you'd say that Ethan. We played a lil' joke on you, lol. Ryan is actually in Monster Mutt.
I hate you lmao

Do owners of customs still get first pick of their own trucks?
Because I know which truck Mr. Dean wants...
True. And I also remember something Mr. Dig said in the thread for AME over at RORMJ:
http://www.te-gaming.net/hosted/RORMJ/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1987#p1987
"If its your personal truck, we will take note of it, and NOBODY will be eligible to drive it except YOU and you alone in the series and in this event."

Couldn't see. Even if he did though, Tom got him back lol

now if you ask me but if anyone else gets added to the team,it should be someone like ethan that is a pro member and contributes when they can(example ethan did make half of the AME track)
Whoo, I did half the work on a track for one event, make me a moderator

Yeah Tom, you've got a really unique layout going there. Really nice stuff.

Yeah I like that idea a lot, like wise trucks could be shut off and determined whether they are in good enough shape to run, 'bogus RII calls' will be a thing of the past.
Just as long as we can still run if we snap a wheel off! You can't deny that running on three wheels is fun

I am loving the breakable truck Ash
I had an idea for a new event rule. Let's say, in racing, you take a really bad tumble. An official would take a good close look at the truck and determine whether or not the damage is "repairable" in time for freestyle. I'm aware that trucks in ROR can be fixed instantly by pressing backspace, but this is simply a realism concern. If in real life someone completely smashed their truck during racing you wouldn't see them back for freestyle, so I think it should be the same way for ROR. If someone wrecked like in the pictures Ash posted, you sure wouldn't see that truck back for FS, haha.

Show Your Projects: Chapter 4
in Monster Trucks
Posted
Taking a little break from Chicago, messing about with SVS. I figured the main ramp could use a landing pad since it was an unrealistically high jump, so it's become a bus-less tabletop. Far from finished.
Looking good man
Haulin' Heat looks ace too ARF
