  1. Good night overall, really enjoyed myself and hope to compete in more SM events in future.

What a mess was that first race with Monster Mutt, jeez... when I cut those donuts I didn't realise he was still racing, although I see it now looking back on the coverage. As for cutting him off, again, I didn't realise he was still completing his lap and I was just starting towards the tunnel to exit. Total roosterup on my part, sorry about that

Anyway, had a blast and hope to compete here more in future :D

  2. The Sim-Monster staff is hard at work to bring everyone this new update. Alot of hours are going into this pack from some really talented people to bring you this update. We even have a select few outside the staff who have graciously decided to give us their time and helping us with things for the next truck pack update. This will be a massive update that will make your jawdrop.gif

    You big tease :P

    Sounds brilliant and I can't wait :)

  3. Did a little updating to Four X Force in preparation for season two of RORMJ (if I'm invited, lol)

Thanks to Stephen Hopkins, aka racinboy, for letting me use his wheel/tire textures. Crazy helped me out with a couple problems I had too. Thanks guys :)

  4. Wow, thanks a lot man! :D

As you mention, I did indeed make a version (several actually!) for MTM2. I intended to take it online into huge leagues and make a name for myself, but I never really got around to it. So I really cannot tell you how excited I am for the 18th. It will be an extremely huge moment for me when I drive into the track for the first time to qualify, because this is realization of a dream I've had for years :)

  5. Looks like someone ran their fingers all over a mirror :P

Stoked to debut my truck either way. I don't care much for the fact that it's going in the RORMJ truckpack, because then little kids like RORMJMAXD can get their sticky hands all over it, but it must be done if I am to compete with 4XF. I will be loveing livid if anyone tries to sign up in an event with it, though

  6. You can't deny that the modern trucks are incredible. I mean... think about it. 10,000lbs, including four 800lb tires... flying through the air like they do. And they hold up on landing. Think of all the stress the components are under, the driveshafts, tie rods, things like that. It's absolutely mindblowing.

Nice shots Crazy, really love them. We haven't talked in ages :)

  7. Ethan... The camera problem isn't with the trucks... It's with the game. When box5 released the first pack.... The trucks had breakable bodies that would fly off. This would cause the camera to go off center. When liquid created the new pack, he used box5's meshes. Just hit backspace and it will reset the truck

Yep, I said that - "This is a known bug within RoR, and it is caused by detaching parts".

Problem is, I don't actually see anything coming off the truck. You're freestyling along, then suddenly, probably after landing a jump, the camera bug kicks in. Something must be going buggy with the trucks, since they appear to be completely intact.

I'm aware I can backspace, but that's prohibited during runs/racing in competition, at least with RORMJ. If people are going to use some of Liquidfire's trucks next season, this could be pretty bad. You don't want the camera going all over the stadium when you're trying to put together a nice run.

  8. I don't post here that much, but I see you guys are having trouble so I'll show you how I did it.

I downloaded Firefox, and went to the download. I had the cutting out problem. But whenever it cut out, I deleted the "completed" file from my HD, removed it from the download list in the browser, and started again fresh. It goes up and up each time, and eventually I reached all 170mb.

It's odd, but it seemed to work...

EDIT: Now I've had some time to check it out, I'll give my two cents on things!

The models are exquisite. No doubt I'll be in one of 'em come season two of RORMJ. Grave Digger and Max D look like toys, but that is the developers' fault, not liquidfire's! I like how the chrome Digger is actual chrome, that's a nice touch.

There is a bug, though - after some freestyling and hard landings, the camera starts going all woozy. This is a known bug within RoR, and it is caused by detaching parts. I see no parts detaching on the truck, but perhaps there's something invisible coming loose? I don't know, but the trucks are very prone to this. That's my only gripe.

Other than that, these are absolutely exquisite, and have increased RoR's inventory of Monster Jam trucks tenfold. Love it!

  9. Hey there, I'm Ethan. Used to be EJD on the MTM2 forums.

Long time Monster fan, it all started with MTM2 when I was eight years old or so. I'm now sixteen, and have moved to RoR. I'm a guitarist and will be studying music at college next year :)

I really like the look of the RoR Monster Jam league. It seems really cool. Thing is, I don't know what time these events take place in UK time (I don't think I'll be getting up at 5am...), and also, it seems you can only play as a real-world driver in a real world truck, and it seems all the places are taken. It would be really cool if you could play as yourself, with your own truck.

    Anyway, see you about.
