crazyman444
So pictures popped up on Facebook, and then i went to mayhem finding a thread on this. So to people that have not seen or go to mayhem here is the video. A working separate suspension monster truck. Needs bugs worked out. But now that one has done it i wonder who else might catch the bug to try it.
MonsterJam2008
Sounds like a good idea but how strong is it and what does it really add to the trucks?
monsterjamcod0329
For some reason, to me it looks like a giant atv. With a fiberglass body
JJfan48
What is the point of a separate suspension? Anyways its a cool idea and I like the way it looks. The body kind of look like a hybrid of a Late Model and a Ford GT. Edited September 4, 2012 by JJfan48
crazyman444
Simplest way i can tell is separate or independent suspension allow for each wheel to move independently from one another. Allows bumps to be adsorbed more. Just look at a Savage X Rc trucks, or t-maxx's rc trucks.
plymouth426ful
Saw this yesteday, but looks to flimsy. monster trucks arent doing the baja 1000, they do arena, stadium, and some outdoor event. solid axle seems better and stronger
mdemko
Independent suspension Crazy....

mdemko
There is a reason a Solid axles are the preferred choice in the offroad world. If this guy tries to land a 20-30ft jump, he will quickly learn why . IMO, the knuckles are undersized, the ball joints are undersized, and the upper A-arms are a complete mess. any sort of hard impact and the uppers are going to crack bend and break. monstabubba
Maybe also a shorter wheelbase would help? I don't know much bout this but it sounds good...
lookin4myscooter
For some reason, to me it looks like a giant atv. With a fiberglass body In retrospect, thats essentially what a monster truck really is anyway lol. But yes, I do agree, its an oversised ATV, would be more suited to race, not jump, but would make a cool offrad racing sport :-)
Casey Graves
Not to mention there is a easier chance to snap a tie rod end off, hes also gonna throw quite a few of those drive shafts depending on how good his motor is, my guess is that it barely makes 1200 hp
mdemko
if that. Its a
