Xbox Controller

I ask a lot of questions on here haha but anyways I need to know how to use my xbox controller with rigs of rods. It is a wired controller that plugs into the USB. I know there is some sort of keymap to download but I don't know where to download it or what to do with the files once I have them. Also if someone could tell me where to change the controls. Thanks

Go To Documents/Rigs of Rods/Config/ and find the file that says input. Take the old input out (Which is your keyboard controls), and put the xbox keymap that should be named input, back in the config folder. Now run your rorconfig. There is a tab in the config that says Controls. Configure these to how you like.

Thanks! Is there a way to set the left joystick to rear stear? right now it makes me use f1 and f2 still on the computer

you should be able to change it, dunno about the joy stick mapping though, I prefer mine set as they are.

It has blinkers, acceleration, brake, horn and all that. Then steer left and right, and starter. I have to use the keyboard for ignition, reseting the truck, and rear steer. Unless I downloaded the wrong keymap? But I got it from the rigs of rods repository so idk.. its kind of annoying lol

Rear Steer Are Commands 1 and 2, Configure these with "Joystick Axis"

Ok then there's the problem. I don't have a 'commands' section under the controller. I only have planes, boats, camera, character, common, and truck.

Press Add, Then there will be a list, And fine the part where it says COMMANDS_1 And COMMANDS_2 and Choose the input type as Joystick Axis- Then calibrate your joystick to which ways it will turn the rear steer.

In my opinion xbox controllers just make steering alot better, you get more control of throttle also

I use my PS3 Controller; Just used to the feel of it I guess;
