ThunderRowdy
I'm still getting used to the blender experience, but I've been wanting to know how to paint the rim to get it to the color of your liking.
0 Noah Chiasson
Well all I did for this was paint the png, but unless you want all your trucks with that rim to have the color you put then I don't recommend doing that.
0 Davynijland
Yeah you can paint just the png in windows paint or paint.net, but when you did that, every truck who's using that rim png will have that color A friend of me told me a time ago to put them in the orge converter(You get that whit the game) after tou renamed the mesh and material and the png and that's pretty it Hope you understand haha
0 MJFAN
To repaint the rims you need three things: 1) The rim texture 2) Rim mesh file 3) Rim material file Step 1 Make copies of these so that you don't overwrite the original ones. Step 2 Repaint the rims texture and rename it. Step 3 Open the material file in notepad and change where it says something like SOLID/TEX/rim.png (it might say this in multiple places - be sure to change all of them) to the name of the texture that you painted. Example: SOLID/TEX/rim.png should now be CustomRim.png Step 4 open the mesh file with the ogre XML converter (right click > open with > ogre xml converter) open the mesh.xml file in notepad and just like the material change the SOLID/TEX/rim.png to the name of your rim. Step 5 Open the .mesh.xml file with the ogre xml converter again, and your done! PM me if you want some extra help, I will do my best to help! 0 rad_rob
Just out of curiosity, would this be the same process for repainting the body? I found this thread because I wanted to paint some rims, so this definitely got me the answer, but I was just wondering if this would be the same process for the body or not.
