Blender Exporting Help

I know there is a tutorial on this but I'm still having problems when I export. I don't know if I did something wrong, or it just doesn't work. I have Blender 2.65 because I like the UI, and also because I couldn't even get OGRE to show up on 2.49. Well, I got OGRE to show up in 2.65 but when I export it doesnt give me a material file, nor does it have the paint on the body. Yes, I have "Export Materials" checked, but it still doesn't give me one. Also, when I go to export, it says, "Ogre (.scene and .mesh" I dont know if that may be the reason, but I just wanted to point that out. I just need someone to help me get OGRE set up correctly in 2.65, or someone could just send me their version of Blender with OGRE already set up. It doesn't really matter what version I use, I just want to be able to export/texture bodies without having to ask and wait for someone else to do it for me.
