blender help

Ok so i got blender 2.49 and python 2.6.2 from oldapps.com and got the stuff from here: http://sim-monsters.com/index.php?/files/file/361-blender-249-essentials/ But i just dont know where every thing goes. can someone please explaine how to set it up step by step so i can edit meshs and truck files and stuff for me? Thank you:) :)

What I did for 2.49 was I downloaded the zip from the Blender site http://download.blender.org/release/Blender2.49b/

 

and I unzipped the zip and put it in my documents, Then I downloaded that essentials download Roach uploaded and dragged all those files into the folder from the Blender site and I just overwrote everything that was doubled and it worked like a charm.
