Mjamfan22
Well in September I bought myself an Iphone 6 for my birthday. Was worth the new contract and I got to trade in my 4s for money so I basically got it for free. Ever since then it has been a great phone until yesterday. I went mud riding and i keep my phone in my dry box, but for some reason, it leaked just this one time. Well now my phone is not responding. It has been sitting in rice for about 24 hours now and im hoping it will pull through. If anyone has ever had this happen please tell me what worked for you, and what else should I do. maxdfandan555
Put your phone in a bag of dry rice, it will absorb the liquid.
litl_e_fan
So iOS 8 DOESN'T make it waterproof?
Gabe2304
Leave it in the rice for at least 2-3 days. It might be a good idea for you to invest in a waterproof case such a Lifeproof.
ZonR
I dont run a lifeproof on my iphone 6 but i dont go mudriding, so yeah, get a lifeproof it will save your phone if it comes back to life, but as for the rice.. it works, i managed to wash my phone once and just threw it in rice for a few days and it did come back to life
Mjamfan22
Well I guess I forgot to mention it was in a black Lifeproof case I bought about a month ago. Just checked the phone after two days in rice and still no response. Imma just let it sit there I guess.
