Grave Digger Traxxas RC

I have the 1/10 scale Digger ones and may i saw even though they are not 4 wheel drive i have a blast with mine. They can take a beating thats for sure....the only problem with them i find is that with the motor you could either get a good one that will last you a while or you could get one that only last a few weeks or a few months but if it does fry Traxxas will send you out a new free one. i would recommend one thats for sure....i would go with the 1/10 as it is bigger and i believe like 80 bucks less but either one works. If you head over to the show your rc thread http://sim-monsters....cs/page__st__30 you can see a pic of mine near the bottom of that page.

It depends on what YOU want, Speed, Looks, Realistic, Price

If you just want to go fast get the traxxas

If speed is no object and you want it to look like a real monster truck check out the HPI wheely King and the Tamyia clodbuster

(HPI is the better brand in my opinion)

If your tight on money look at the HPI Wheely King and the Traxxas stuff

If you have an unlimited budget look into the clodbuster

However with a clodbuster i'd recomned you have some if not a year of hobby quality RC experience, even though there 25 years old a newb would get lost building one.

Both clodbusters and wheely kings use soild axles like real monster trucks however a traxxas truck does dont, it uses independent suspension. If your stuck apon silly traxxas look at there other vehicles, the monster jam trucks are just rebodied traxxas stampedes, and most trucks share the same layout(cookie cutter design they have a hard time making anything thats REALLY different and not just new tires/wheels and a new body) so some use brushless motors IE stampede VXL.

Stephen it seems like your bashing Traxxas a little bit there lol.....im not a big fan of the wheelie king my self..mainly dont like how the suspension looks since its set up to do wheelies a lot and the custom built clod buster like Stephen and Josh on here have look like great RC cars...but if you really want to get a traxxas MJ truck go ahead they can take a beating and get a pretty good top speed out of the box....but if you want to go cheap and nitro look into the HPI nitro Monster King....i dont have one but have seen them sell for like 100 bucks since they discontinued them like 2 years ago so parts are not the easiest to come by either buy looks like a decent little trucj

if you are a first time buyer or hobby level rc owner go with the wheely king or traxxas as they are mroe well known brands that hobby stores carry lots of parts for. the stampede has been around for ages and has proven durable just like the wheely king. it might not be as realistic as the wheely king in terms of layout but you can get away with more errors without harming it.

i speak from experience as my first truck was a hpi savage 21 that i bet to the ground and a xtm x factor 2 (solid axles, 4 link suspension and cantilever shocks) that broke if i didnt drive it alittle more carefully
