  1. No reason to turn this into a Brony bash-fest. This guy just wants a Fluttershy truck done, I have said that I plan on making one, so can we stop getting off-topic here? It's just cluttering up the forums with unnecessary crap.

  2. No, they would be making a statement that "We don't believe the female drivers in our sport are good enough to compete with the men and we're afraid that they're feeling left out, so we're holding a competition just for them so they feel special for once." and I think that's positively disgusting. They wouldn't gain any additional revenue other than the guys watching to go "MAN, I'm glad that chick knows how to drive that dang ol truck! -spit-". Honestly, even if they made it a PPV event, they would barely turn a profit, so why do it? All you're doing is making a mockery of women in motorsports for what might turn out to be some pocket change.

  3. Yes, because we should treat women differently because they're women. I approve of having an event to make them feel separated from the rest of the monster truck community when all they want is to fit in. This is obviously the best idea ever. Yay exclusion!

  4. Just a couple brief announcements: We have decided that it would be in our best interests to stick with a 16 truck field for all events. This will make brackets significantly easier to maintain, as well as create consistency for each event. Truck rules have been added to the rulebook. Please review them! The season projected starting date right now will be Thursday, February 21st. This is subject to change at any time, but this is where we would like to begin the season. I hope everyone is as excited as I am to get this thing off the ground!

  5. This is the way constructive criticism has always been in this community, even back when I was 9 years old and making absolute dog turds in 2001...

"OMG SO AWESOME!!! Plz release naow!" is accepted as normal, but

"I think that truck could look better with a specular map instead of a reflective surface map" is accepted as starting a fight.

I agree that certain words should be more carefully chosen by everyone, but anyone who has been around this community for a while knows that constructive criticism is taken offensively around here, and I truly wish it wasn't because I know some of the stuff I make isn't any good, but when I want opinions, I get "OMG IT'S SO PRETTY RELEASE NAOW" instead of "If you do X it could look better."

Either way, this situation is blown way out of proportion by both parties. I say we get back on topic, and so that I'm not posting in this topic completely OFF topic...
