  1. For a game? Nah. For real life, I walk the track, check the car out, and put my gloves somewhere I can reach them when I strap in. All the while talking to the guys that are crewing for me in a Scandinavian accent. It's actually a good way to relieve stress.

I'm the only one I know who walks R/C tracks before every event...and yes... sometimes the ovals too

  2. Made my passes... felt ok,at least I kept it upright and pointed in the right direction.

I'm much more prepared this week aswell,  figured out my AVG auto settings so it wont kill me again, have all but a few trucks now, those few either don't have a link or is broken and are as follows

    Radio Active
    Grim Reaper
    Cyclone Cowboy
    Ballistic
    and X103

if someone can help me out with those few I'd be able to help alot more if asked to aid officials again...

  3. Can't wait for the Nordic hill track, now we need some of their trucks to play with aswell...

I know some of those bodies exist in the MTM world, including the lambo... (I beleive Turbo had done them... if that is the case I acquired permission from him to do whatever with any of his works LONG ago, I'll try to get ahold of him to re-ask but I'm sure he won't mind seeing them with new life, as most of them where converted models from other games)

  4. I agree we need more...  and trucks to go with them...

but i find my self just very curious as to what gearing he's running to get it to stand like that.... I know short wheelbase and being very tall helps a bunch... but the motor still appears to be up front, and them tires don't turn very easily lol   I'm bettin he's got a bottle helpin him too but still

  5. Congrats Aaron,
who'da thought the season woulda started with a Double Down!?!?!

I had fun and learned alot.
I'm fighting a few computer issues + a MAJOR learning curve lol

I apologize if I caused any issues because of that, I'll be honest I wasn't as prepared as I THOUGHT I was, especially when you asked me to officiate,  atleast my AVG killed me and an alternate host was found before we suffered any issues on the part of my un-prepared-ness.

I'll have it figured out next go around and shouldn't have any problems.... now I just need to learn to drive these trucks under pressure... I get em around the track fine offline...

  6. Neat lookin rig.   I've always been sucker for the trucks built outside the norm..

might just be me but I think the dark cab area causes you to lose alot of the body shape detail that you've worked into it... might I sugguest going full olive drab or even possibly desert sand color... as opposed to having the bed drab and front half black ish.

  7. to anyone who doesn't have it... go here http://vales.com/mtm2/ theres a link right there on the main page to download the full game FREE....it is abandon ware now that the copyrights have expired and MS has no interest in reviving it, so its all legit

As for me if its cool with you guys I'd like to run my old Jolly Roger http://www.mtm2.com/~trucks/dl.cgi?dl=5040

I hung my rumble gloves up a LONG time ago... but I may still be game for some bashin

  8. May he (and dimebag and Dio, and all the others) Rest in Peace...Should a peaceful rest be what their sole desires...

  10. I see a thread about retro games and get excited, then I see a bunch of N64 stuff and think.... I FEEL OLD...

    I started here

and I'll give 5 points to anyone on here who knows how to use an intellivision controller...

you guys seem to have missed the epic greatness of RC PRO AM II on NES or Super Stunt Race FX on SNES

you probably have no clue how hard of a game "Race Drivin" or its clone "Hard Drivin" was to play even in the arcade (wich was the first machine to have a functioning clutch)

I grew up playing games like Street Rod on PC  then when the time came MTM, Soda Offroad, INdycar Racing, MTM2, DTR, Leadfoot....

now I'm in a nostalgia hole....
GOOD THING MY NES STILL WORKS (and yes it is hooked up)

  11. MONSTER TRUGGY!!!!

          Unique

                     The Pit Likes :)

    might I make a sugguestion...

extend the front body line down between 4-6 scale inches
then pull the mouthline back and lower a tad  and pull the eye a slight bit further down... it almost has a goofy look too it IMO
