  1. "barely" is the key word. it still changes it and can give someone even the slightest unfair advantage. its just proves my point that anyone and everyone can still be put at a disadvantage and someone can always be faster than everyone else. the trucks setups need to be kept the same to ensure fair races.

Why? Because you don't think the same top fastest drivers will be the fastest then or what? Seriously either your dumb and want to SEVERELY limit ROR on its capabilities for monster trucks or simply have no idea what you're trying to talk about. Ask ANYONE from MTM2 do we want more realistic handling or the EXACT same setup as everyone else, We never ran the exact same setups in MTM2 (unless it was a RULE) so why start now. My guess is you simply can't drive the trucks currently which is why you never even show up to any actual events. I've personally tested the edits crazy did and not only did it make the truck handle better, allow you more control and allow the truck to have SOME kind of reaction but it also made it way more fun to drive, you can't go and hit something in 2nd gear and just land flat and keep going.. you WILL get a hell of a rebound if you get some big air and land hard which is HOW it should be!

The new setups will be more fun, allow for even CLOSER action then we've already had and more skill tested freestyles. No one I've ran with drives exactly the same as someone else, or do we not want to see the skill everyone here has with something better? I mean really dude it handled better in the sense it was easier to drive for the most part (other than the rebound which makes it just that much more awesome)but you also have actual suspension travel now. I can personally say that it will make for some amazing races and freestyles to be born from it. However I'm sure not one person here actually wants any of what I've stated. One last thing, how is it unfair if you have to work even hard just to get a simple slap wheelie, or to NOT flip on a violent rebound? Oh right cause that would totally make it unfair to everyone else that can drive worth a damn.

  2. Projects are looookin AWSOME!!! But one lil pet peeve i've noticed about alot of them is that everyone leaves out the lower shock bars that connect to the axel? Sorry but i'm a stickler for noticing the littlest of details :)

That's because they're not there to save on the fps they eat. Maybe you should go read the entire post about the truck-pack and you won't have to keep asking why something is missing or why there isn't a version of this or that.

  3. Oh... well what about releasing off-line versions of each track with the crushables added for some off-line fun? I know the people with a ATI Radeon HD5700 series cards and up can handle the graphics in it. Cause i just upgraded to that card and RoR runs practically Lag free on squishy and box5 stadiums with about 8+ trucks parked and 1 running.

Go look at the schedule for the events here, and look at when the track is getting finished/released only a few hours before the Euro league is supposed to start on Friday. Needless work and would probably cause more delays to track building that we do not have time for. There is a request forum here but don't get your hopes up on crushable cars for tracks already done quite well.

  4. Well let me start off by saying hi to everyone here on the forums... I'm an OOOOOOOOOLD skool mtm2 vet thats semi-new to RoR... I'm intrigued by the challenge of modding for RoR and am loving the capabilities of it so far... One thing i am curious about though, What happened to the crushable stuff that i've seen in Box5's and Squishy Stadium? I mean i downloaded a couple tracks from here and they were very good but running over the obstacles like the busses, vans and what not is like running over a concrete wall. I just think that it makes a track alot better and more realistic seeing as how the more stuff gets run over and mangeled up the more variability and character it adds to a track.

Because they cause mass amounts of lag, and doesn't work online like posted above.

  5. Awesome, maybe to a test-run of it tonight if anyone is interested. (the private server that is)

So far these are who is likely to come for TOMORROW (THURSDAY) night

  6. Anyone who downs RoR obviously rarely even plays it or plays it solely for the monster trucks when in actuality theres THOUSANDS of things you can do in this game, if you are so close minded to think its a monster truck "simulation" as some call it then you need to open your eyes and see just what you're missing. I've been a fan of RoR and been playing it for YEARS, long before monsters were even a thought as an addon and now that we have it and we're constantly reworking something or fixing problems all you see relating to it is "ITS NOT FOR PS3 OR XBOX". My computer absolutely sucks but thanks to helping LF,CG, the SM crew here we've been able to use MY PC as a bench to get better FPS for everyone. If you want help upgrading your pc post it's specs in the help area along with how much you want to spend and I guarantee you will have at least 5 people including us on the staff try to help you. /endrant

I think that about sums it up.. <_<
