  1. I want a fedora truck that rolls over often It could be called M'onster
  2. That's gonna be pretty awesome Legitimization is awesome...I don't suppose this means that shows would be broadcast live or in any timely sort of manner __ This is the first time Meents hasn't been at Indy in like 15 years though. I'm a little disappointed
  3. Whoever designed those bodies shouldn't take acid on the job
  4. That is wicked looking. It's like zombie Bulldozer That's just a photoshop, right? It might look better in person. It really does look too slick and futuristic though Here's the real image, by the way
  5. I find that really hard to believe. Jim Creten's the one who seems like he'd be kind of a nice lady
  6. Yeah, I was really disappointed I didn't get to see Pauken driving. Plus the kid who replaced Marc in El Toro flipped after 8 seconds trying to turn.
  7. Wrecking Crew had the craziest freestyle in Indy but Jim Koehler won the show.
  8. Pauken, Meents, and Koehler in Indy. My 3 favorite drivers; my first live show since 2008. I can't wait.
  9. Oh, you think it means something? That's cute. God I love the baseball field tracks. So much space lol they forgot the boxcar on the bottom left
  10. So are they just leaving broken trucks scattered on the track from now on? Kinda annoying.
  11. Very excited for that. Hopefully they won't have a new one, or at least a less imposing one. I don't think they had one before; they never modified the actual logo for a sponsor before.
  12. The font looks kind of awkward. The S looks too small as well as the hole in the O and R
  13. AAP was the title sponsor of Monster Jam? I thought it was McDonalds
  14. I'm pretty excited for this one. I don't think they'll change the racing course both because of tradition/fairness. A trademark of WF racing is high speeds, which would be screwed up with hills in the straightaway and things. Changing the course would also ruin what little integrity the competition has. Freestyle will probably have some huge/impressive stuff now that they don't have to have racing space. Hopefully more interesting than red and yellow hills this time. What would really be great is...now, I know this is a lot to ask, as obviously most major sporting events don't actually get live broadcasts....but if they could show this live on Fox Sports 1 or online that'd be amazing. So I don't have to wait until July for the DVD. BTW just got my World Series 2013 blu-ray in the mail. So glad the Red Sox won. Damn Cardinals.
  15. What are traveling partners exactly? Do they...stay in hotel rooms together or something? Same shows?
  16. Maybe I'm just getting old and comparing the present to the highly nostalgic past, but I feel like the USHRA (or whatever it's called now) is much worse. The incredible lengths they go through to nice lady out AAP. All red and yellow cars All ramps red and yellow Tracks are mostly just dirt hills, no more interesting/notable obstacles All tracks look the same (I can't even tell the difference between the recent world finals ones) Trucks don't break as easily (no wheels falling off, not even the bodies fall off as frequently) Hell, even the runs are hardly distinguishable, because of all of this New trucks are ugly/gimmicky/overcomplicated Just felt like complaining, I guess. Anyone else feel these feels?
  17. That track seriously looks so bloody boring. Everything's the same color and there are barely any cars. Glad there's a new racing champion at least.
  18. Sigh. The track looks the same as last year. And I suppose it'll always be too much to hope for to have it shown live somewhere.
  19. It'd be a 24 truck field based on a point system from the racing and freestyle during the normal tour. Not a popularity contest/sponsor whoring. It would be broadcast live on Speed. Qualifying and racing would be on Friday. First of all, the dirt is entirely brown. Green paint on the ramps, white outlines. Red, white, yellow, and blue cars. Racing would be different. There'd be 6 cars after a slightly bigger than average ramp. There would be a small dirt jump entering thunder alley. Freestyle would be on Saturday. Between the cars would be a semi trailer (like from WF1). Left side freestyle obstacles would be a trailer stack then a bus stack. Ride side would be a dirt jump (with those balloon dice in the middle) then another trailer stack. At the end next to the pits would be a railcar stack. All of these obstacles are primarily cars, and maybe 15-25% dirt. There would be 4 RVs to place in the straigtaways throughout freestyle. There would be another two to place in front of the middle jump. Scoring would be done by 15 non competing drivers, 5 fans, 3 officials, and the two announcers. Final score would be an average of the 25. Signs, flags, and other such things would be banned.
  20. I hate it. Why do they have to screw with everything every year? Things were great in 2002, it got worse with moving to Speed, it slowly grew better, then AAP started inserting itself into everything possible and they started to appeal to kids more than ever and it's just so awful now. /complain
  21. Where was that? That one always confused me as a kid becase I'd never seen an event outside of a stadium. That was in Indy in 2004.
