Nothing is really gonna change for this week so this should be short. The track is gonna be a bit confusing for those who have never seen an Anaheim style course so I'll post a video of how to navigate this trick course. It is really tight and is really easy to mess up on. You are going to get 1 qual run again this week so I would practice one lane and get it down for qualifying then trying the other one out. Freestyle can be really tight if you try going big in a couple spots, the walls can come up on you quick here so just know where you are on the floor and where the walls are. I think the layout is gonna make for some pretty interesting freestyles and some pretty sick cross threads. After a poor qualifying run Grave Digger would go on to claim the racing victory for the second straight race. All be it that he would have to really earn it barely beating the Air Force Afterburner in the semi-finals which would end up being the race of the night and won the championship race over Gunslinger in another nail biter that this tricky track would seem to produce the entire night. In freestyle though Grave Digger would go over early and Maximum Destruction would receive a 30 and is trying to run away from the pack in the freestyle points. Next week the trucks tackle the Figure 8 layout at Rocky Mountain Raceway. Alright guys the time has come for our first event of the season, the two practice races couldn't have went any better imo so I hope to see the same for this week. This week I'm gonna make a little change to the times, Chat will probably open around 7:15 and the drivers meeting will start around 7:30 unlike the last two week were we scrambled trying to make sure we had everyone. Qualifying will open at 7:30 on Saturday and close right before the drivers meeting. Also don't wait till the last minute to qualify, it just make everything tougher on us. We will be taking the TOP 20 from qualifying just to let everyone know. Now for the track, it is a simple Chicago style track, you make on complete lap around hitting one set of cars twice and the other once. The only change for this track is that you will get one run for qualifying because there is no difference in the lanes. If there are any other questions feel free to post them. Maximum Destruction would try to keep the racing win streak alive also at St. Louis as the truck had won every event so far in both the US and European league, in the second round he was almost bested by Air Force Afterburner which would be the closest finish of the night and would also be the "Race of the Night". In the finals the impressive streak would come to an end as Grave Digger would capitalize on Max D's bicycle in the last turn and would get the very first points race win. In Freestyle we would see these two battle it out yet again but they would both receive 30s, both would have at least three amazing saves. Also in freestyle we would see impressive runs by Jurassic Attack, Bigfoot, Gunslinger and Air Force Afterburner all of which would earn scores over 25 keeping the freestyle points race very tight. Event Recap: The last tune up for the drivers at Sim-Monsters before the start of the points season took place at Sam Boyd Stadium last night. Racing was close again this week much like last week and freestyle saw many trucks going the full 1 minute and 30 seconds unlike last week where only 2 trucks were able to fill the clock. In racing Maximum Destruction would dominate the field by taking the fast qualifier spot and winning the racing portion of the bracket, although Bigfoot was the surprise of the night being the #6 seed and taking the brand new MLB sponsored Chevrolet to the finals in its very first event. In freestyle it was all Gunslinger as he would string together the best run of the night earning a 27 and receiving the first and only 10 in the preseason from a judge. Stone Crusher backed up his run from last week by going big but would come just a bit short with his score of 25, but he is one of the hottest drivers on the circuit when it comes to freestyle entering the first race of the season.
