  1. I got really tired of watching the race because of how many times there were cautions for debris. It really ruined the flow of the race. I was also disappointed seeing Kahne  get beat by Harvick off the restart. I have nothing against Harvick, I'm just a Hendrick guy.

  2. Well just remember your procedures for tornado warnings. Also, if you see any funnel clouds or formations that look like funnel clouds, report it to your local authorities immediately. Sometimes radar cannot pick up atmospheric rotation and sometimes it is too sensitive.

  3. It's called the Rock/metal thread for a reason.

I listen to some metal, but not much.

Gojira, Kreator, Rammstein, Children of Bodom, Devildriver, Iron Maiden, In Flames, Amon Amarth, etc.

I listen to a lot of rock, it'd be easier to list what I don't listen to.

Paramore, Evanescence, Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Flyleaf, Halestorm, Papa Roach, Sick Puppies, Elvis Presley, A New Found Glory, Aranda, Pop Evil, Shinedown, Seether, Stone Sour, Alice in Chains, System of a Down, etc...

  4. You can definitely make this work. A lot of people want to see something like this. I suggest you recruit some veteran members and maybe make the league not completely geared toward competition. Making it more about learning about racing could be a cool feature of your league so newer members can directly learn from experienced players. Maybe after the newer players learn they could put their skills to the test against other league members.

  5. Just got done doing some training with my 16oz gloves. As of now I just hit anything solid I can find. Tonight I chose the refrigerator. Hopefully I can get a heavy bag soon.

As for videos, here's a real classic:

  6. I usually squeeze really hard and let out a few farts so I don't feel any pressure.

Just kidding. When I do kart racing and even in RoR I just take the race with a grain of salt and let myself go.

  7. I know you've probably heard it a million times, but the best thing to do is practice. I started playing RoR in November of last year and only now am I actually [sorta] good. For better viewing, I suggest disabling camera pitching under advanced settings in your config. Besides that, learning throttle control and steering balance should be your biggest priority. With a keyboard, it's very hard to steer; but as you enter turns, avoid immediately engaging rear steer and tap the front wheel steering. Throttle control is also tricky. Drive the truck like any regular car, take your time, and use the throttle carefully. Tap the throttle as you enter turns to avoid flipping your truck.

Overall, this is a very hard game to learn. Real life monster truck drivers say that it is harder to drive trucks in RoR than it is to drive real trucks. If you want to learn, you must invest the time and learn from your mistakes. Join as many fun runs as you can so you can learn from more experienced players. Practice shifting and tight turns on tracks such as World Finals. Eventually you will be able to race Chicago-style courses completely in 2nd gear without flipping. C:

  8. Name: Big Easy

Chassis: PEI, Racesource, or in house.

Motor: AMS Racing 572ci blown alcohol injected V8

Shocks: King 4.0 Monster Bypass/3.0 Coilover combination

    Transmission: Coan 2 speed

    Body: Ford F-150 Raptor

Color: Purple, Green, Gold, and White

Other details: ISP racing seat, Simpson racing gear, Fleur De Lis flag.

I'd keep the body of the truck simple and pay more attention to what's on the inside.

  9. It's been discussed before. It's preferred that the freestyle track is modeled off the track in its last state. This means after all of the obstacles have been placed, and the track is as it was when the last truck went out. With that, the track is worn down. This is the preferred way of painting tracks for the many track makers here on SM, and they have the final say on how they produce their tracks.

  10. Congrats to Aaron on the double down. I'm very proud of myself for making the finals. I cheated death in round 2 and the semi finals I believe. Hopefully I can continue getting this far in future events. After racing, I completely forgot there was freestyle due to how concentrated I was in racing. Went down early in a violent crash, but had fun doing it.
