Okay so yeah the camper thing was my bad. I was thinking logically that the BKT's would pop easier from the wood puncturing the tire. And I meant storage containers being used as an actual obstacle, like the Blue Thunder failjump at WF6. And even if cars start getting expensive, start cutting the cost with how much dirt and paint they use and go from there.

And I feel like it would be easier to find a happy medium between too grippy and too loose than to have to deal with one or the other. Shave some off, leave some on, test it out, and repeat if necessary.

Like I said about the containers, those haven't been used in the way you're talking about since 2011, so they don't have anything to do with the tires. Getting cars is more expensive than you'd think because a junk yard doesn't want to sell whole cars. They can make way more money parting them out piece-by-piece, so the prices are more than you would think. Cutting back on paint wouldn't nearly account for the cost of adding many more cars, and I doubt that the dirt would because FELD already owns all the dirt that they use and they store it near the venues year round so that they don't have the reoccurring cost.

As for the happy medium, I think that the BKT's are probably close to as grippy as FELD wants them to be without it being too risky about the stadium floors and the dirt flinging. Ukraines were barely any more "grippy" towards the end of their life at FELD than the BKT's. I could be wrong, but I doubt there's any other reason FELD would shave down their tires this significantly.

BKT's are most likely the reason storage containers, campers, buses, and cars went the way of the Goodyears and Firestones- back to the junkyard. They're so trashy and poorly made that I honestly don't know why FELD uses them and why if I were to drive I WOULDN'T drive for FELD.

Well, the actual reason that they dropped all those things is totally different. Cars and buses are mostly because of how much more expensive it is to get the proper vehicles from junk yards. If they can cut 20+ cars down to under 10, they actually save quite a bit of money. Besides, ever since 2010, Monster Jam's tracks have been utilizing cars less and less up until when the first all dirt tracks started appearing in 2014 (i.e. Oakland), before BKT's had even been made. As far as containers, they haven't been used for anything other than backflip ramps since the first one at World Finals 12, and are still used as of this year for that same reason (Backflip ramps at World Finals 17). Campers are mostly gone because of the danger that they caused. The stray parts that came off when they collapsed had actually flown into the stands a few times so Monster Jam cut them. All this has to do with the safety and cost efficiency of the show, rather than the BKT's. Most all of this actually happened before BKT's came along anyway.

So why do they use them? Yeah they have a weak sidewall, everyone knows that, it could be better. However, they have a contract with BKT requiring them to be used for sponsorship reasons, and they can't just say "no" without having to take large legal steps that aren't worth it.

And just to throw it out there, the reason they have such small treads/handle poorly is because the big cleated tires (Firestones/Ukraines) were actually so grippy that they would throw dirt and rocks into the stands in some instances, and were also causing damage to the stadium floor in a lot of cases. Monster Jam actually disallowed the cleated tires from running before the BKT's became mandatory for this reason. Any cleated tires had to be shaved down. You can tell if you look at the treads of Ukraines toward the end of FELD's use with them. They were significantly shaven down compared to how they used to be.

Unfortunately SSRS will not be coming back cause well... I killed it.

I wouldn't be taking any credit for it. Everyone involved in running it has more to deal with in life now and lack the time to bother running a league. I mean I make Pizza at $8.50/hr for goodness sake (and college, y'know). Plus you can only take the frustration and stress and everything so long before you decide it's not worth it. That's why I dropped out of participating in and helping with events on this site. Too much to deal with in life and too much to deal with here.

Because FELD is retarded. They retire trucks but put them in the yearbooks for filler.

If a truck is still in the yearbook it's simply because they still own the right to the truck's name. There's still a possibility of that truck coming back at any point in the same way Backwards Bob came back after being "retired."

  5. Yeah sure I'll post.

At Louisville in 2014 Morgan Kane's then girlfriend (now wife) gave me a Morgan Kane hat. I had ordered it but It never shipped. Same event Morgan rolled the truck and said he'd give me spikes off of it, but ended up having to mail them. I got five and a few hero cards. Also Coty Saucier gave me a Coty Saucier shirt because he's a cool guy. that also came with some hero cards.

Mohawk Warrior now has a Great Clips sponsorship.

Can anyone confirm if Macey Nichter and Blake Granger (Kayla Bloods boyfriend I think) are driving for FELD now? They were in a pic on Instagram of a lot of new drivers pulling a monster truck with a rope. I don't know why FELD would hire the two, considering Blake does motocross (FELD doesn't pull as many dirt bike racers compared to other motor sports) and Macey doesn't drive as hard as these rookies are (I could understand if she drives more mellow with Stomper to keep the tick from breaking too often).

I don't think she got it. It sucks because I know if she wasn't stuck in Stomper she'd be awesome. I think part of it is that she's currently going to school to be a radiologist, which would be hella tough to keep up with on a Monster Jam schedule.

so just stick with 1 color?
    I like multiple colors

The problem isn't that you used multiple colors, it's just that the colors you have chosen don't compliment each other at all, and are very harsh on the eyes. I'd recommend using a color scheme generator if you are looking into using more than one color (except shades/tints of black and white)

Coolors is a site that will generate color schemes at random for you, good for if you haven't had any ideas on what to do yet.

Paletton is nice for when you already know a color you want to use, and it can give you the proper RGB values to complement or contrast that chosen color. You can even paste the RGB code of the exact color you are using and it will generate something for you.

But Its Funny That Obama Still Thinks Trump Won't Be President.

I don't know how you came to this conclusion. If you watch this video, even for under a minute, you will hear Obama say that he spoke to Trump, congratulated him on winning, and invited him to the White house to ensure there is a smooth transition between presidencies. Overall he actually has some pretty great things to say in this video.

Obama said he'd kick Trump out of presidency before he got the White House on Jan 20. Let's see if these words come true...

Do you have a source on this? I don't even think that this is possible...

I mean hey, it's been a while since the last sh!tposting storm happened. Maybe it's about time.

On Topic: I'm just glad the election's over tbh xD. I'm sick of constant campaign ads.

I'd imagine the tires it had been sitting on were dry rotted from sitting for so long. Probably just went out back and found a set of old tires that were good enough to use. I think the BKT ride truck used to have some Michelin's that had BKT spray painted on the side so maybe that's where they pulled them from?

That sounds way more likely, I wouldn't be surprised if they had some sort of BKT stuff thrown on it regardless though.

  12. Ok this seems like a joke to some people I'm sure but I promise it's true.

It's not lie or a secret that I'm totally a little fan girl b!tch for Morgan Kane. I was there for his first show ever literally exactly 6 years ago today. Before then Mopar Magic was my favorite truck (other than maybe Backdraft) and I was very curious to see how well this new driver would do in "my" truck. The answer was about what you would expect, he did alright but nothing special. I remember being impressed that he was competitive in his Round 1 Race, but then he did a slap wheelie and ruined it (which was cool to me). When I left I would totally classify myself as a fan of his. I didn't see him preform for another 4 years until he came back to Louisville in 2015. The whole time I watched him on TV or on YouTube rooting for him as an underdog, but never really seeing him do better than totally par or a bit better, exception being when Monster Magic beat Son Uva Digger in Minneapolis for the racing finals. In 2013 he started to pick up a few wins in Stadiums, but not a ton. Seeing that he was bound totally to Arena's in 2015 was weird, but I was optimistic. He totally rocked the whole tour and won it all, making it to Vegas for the first time. I got to go to Vegas that year, and to be honest, He preformed totally as I expected. I didn't see him getting past round 2, and preforming pretty mid-field in FS. The next year was a similar story for 1st quarter, but I was still excited for the tour win. I didn't get to go to Vegas but I remember seeing he qualified second and was pretty excited.

    But then Friday Happened.

Basically, I really didn't expect Morgan to win again, sure I put it on my bracket as kind of a joke (only kind of considering he was 2nd qualifier) but I really didn't expect the outcome. I was watching it on periscope with friends, and I was totally happy that he was in the final round, and figured at this point I don't care what happens, I'm just happy to see "my" driver make it this far. So you can imagine after all this how much I was screaming at a pooty livestream from some kids iPhone for all of the people I was on Discord with when he crossed the line ahead of Todd. I seriously couldn't believe it. Hands down this is my favorite monster jam moment.

Honestly this is far better than their EP. I only liked 2 song on the EP which were "heart vs mind" and "love lust and liars". Just depends what you like. This band suits my taste since i can relate to many of their songs

Awesome, I'll check it out sometime. They definitely do a hell of a job live.
